♡Tessa and Hardin♠️ The day he saw my underwear

Chapter 14

A week and a half goes by,
Im emotionally, mentally and physically drained
between taking care of my mom and constantly watching my back for Trevor.

The anticipation is eating me up, I just want this whole mess to be over with, Im tired of life tearing me down through everything, my mother, my psychotic ex, my body image, and even the relationship im in now, which im so happy, but so nervous for life to fuck that up too.

Ive been kind of keeping my distance from Hardin, lately using my mom as an excuse. I just really dont want him to get caught in this mess called my life, I care about him too much.

Its 2:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon and
im sitting in the living room with my Mom scrolling through Instagram right now.

C: How come Hardin hasn't been around as much lately? are you guys fighting?
T: no were both just busy
I say lieing through my gah damn teeth
C: you should have him come over today,
T: I-
We were interrupted by a knock on the door
C: oouu is that him right now
She goes to get up but i immediately stand up before her
T: I got it

I open the door to see the last person I wanted to see
Tr: so you do still live here
I step out of the house and close the door behind me
T: you need to leave Trevor, im not playing your little games
Tr: oh c'mon Tess you used to love me
T: I thought i did, you were just a manipulative liar and a waste of my time

C: Tessa honey
My mom opens the door and looks straight at Trevor
C: Oh Trevor, its so nice to see you again, how have you been?
Ofcourse she dosent remember what he did, I can see Trevor's confused face as she leans in to hug him
Tr: you... too? ms. young
C: oh please call me Carol, would you like to come in
T: actually mom Trevor was just about to leave
Tr: I would love to, thank you

My mom walks into the house and before trevor walks in i grab him by the collar of his shirt
T: if you think for even one second that im letting you out of my sight-
Tr: calm down, I just want to catch up
He smirks and i keep myself from gagging

He walks in the house and my first thought is to call Hardin to get his ass over here, but then again last thing I want is to bring Hardin into this.
C: Trevor, would you like some coffee?
Tr: im good
My mom simply just nods and sits down at the table
C: So, How come we haven't seen you in a while
I widen my eyes
Tr: uhh I thought you already knew?
My mom furrows her eyebrows
C: im sorry if i dont remember, recently I've been-
I cut her off before she finishes her sentence
T: Mom, you should go get your new camera, im sure Trevor would love to see it
C: *gasps* I got this new Polaroid camera and its so fun, ill be right back
She says talking to Trevor
I fake a smile waiting for her to leave the room

I grab Trevor by his collar again and walk him to the front door like the dog he is
T: Out, dont ever come back
Tr: you will be seeing me again Tessa
T: mhm, dont come near this house or my mother, got it?
Tr: why is she acting like a freak anyway
I push him out ignoring his comment
and shut and lock the door behind me

C: I wanna show you this cool new setting i found-
C: where'd he go?
My mom says walking out of her room
T: uh he had an emergency
C: oh
her face kind of drops, she seemed excited to show someone her camera
T: but you can show me the cool new setting *smiles*
Her face lights up again and walks over to me with the camera in her hand and a few polaroids.
C:these are some pictures i took without the setting
she hands me 2 polaroids of the plants at our kitchen window seal
C: and here are some with
T: wow mom these are really dope
I look at her and shes smiling at the photos
T: mom? do you not remember why me and Trevor broke up?
C: isn't it because you guys just didn't agree on some things? I cant exactly remember, he never came around often

I pang of hurt kind of runs through my body and id rather not repeat last year with my mother
T: yeah something along those lines

*ding*
I hear my phone go off from the living room

Hardin😚
hey do you wanna chill today? i feel like i haven't seen you in ages

yeah, i got something i need to tell you anyway, pick me up?

Ive decided im going to tell Hardin about Trevors appearance today
I just hope he doesn't get mad that i didn't call him like he told me to do if I ever ran into him

15 minutes later

*ding*
im here

I put my phone in my pocket and check on my mom real quick before i leave, I find her laying on the recliner sleeping while watching Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia (funny ass show btw, only if you like dark humor)

I put my phone in my pocket and grab my jacket and walk out of the house locking the door behind me

I hop in the car greeting Hardin with a kiss
T: hey
H: wassup, what you been up to
T: not much really you know been taking care of my mom, today has been kind of crazy
He pulls out of the driveway
H: really? how come
He keeps his eyes focused on the road
T: well... for starters, Trevor may have came over and my mom invited him in for coffee
I rush out the words and look over at Hardin for a reaction.
He clenches his jaw and tightens his grip on the steering wheel

H: Why didn't you call me? what happened? did he touch you? I swear to god Tessa i will fucking murder him, Why did your mom even let him in if she knows what he did!?
I grab his hand to calm him down
T: relax. he didn't touch me, I kicked him out before things got out of hand
H: and why would things be getting out of hand?
He sounds pissed
T: because my mom almost told him about her disease and the last thing i want is for him to come for the people i care about. She didnt remember anything Hardin, He knows something's up

His face softens and he rubs circles on my knee
H: Im here for you Tessa i really am, but I cant be much help if you dont tell me when hes around
I nod knowing hes right
T: I just dont want you-
H: to get caught in the middle of this mess?
He finishes my sentence, and i cant help but smile a little bit
H: thats not your choice, its mine, and i will do what it takes to assure your safety, even if that means putting mine at risk
T: I know, thats exactly why i want you to stay out of it, but your stubborn just like me
I grab his hand and intertwine our fingers
and he brings my hand up to his lips and kisses it
H: damn right i am

We just drive and drive with no destination, listening to music laughing, enjoying eachothers company.

This is what im afraid to loose
