Y/N's PoV
We were fighting again. Trent just couldn't take a fucking hint that I wanted him gone. "You've cheated on me how many times? Leave! I want you gone!" I yell at him. I get slapped across the face.

"You need to learn how to shut the fuck up!" Trent screams at me, smacking me again. Before I can get another word in, I'm pushed to the ground.

"Asshole." I mumble.

"What'd you just say bitch?" He asks me.

"I called you a fucking asshole!" I scream at him. I stand up, heading for the bedroom.

"What are you doing!" Trent screams.

"Leaving you!" I yell back. I grab a bag, stuffing some of my clothes into it before quickly tying my converse and grabbing my phone. Before Trent sees I grab a shoebox with maybe $12,000 in it, throwing that in my duffle bag too. Trent stops me before I can walk out. "Let. Me. Leave." I say, his hand goes around my arm, jerking me back and flinging me to the ground. Trent grabs my phone and throws it across the room, I watch it shatter.

"If you leave now, you better not go to the police, OR EVER COME BACK!!" Trent yells, pulling me up and pushing me out the door. Once the door shuts, I begin to cry, heading out to the streets.

I've been walking for an hour or two with no place to go. I stumble upon my favorite diner, heading inside. I see no one is here except a man with dark hair and glasses, sitting and reading in the corner booth. I sit away from him, wiping tears with the back of my hand. I see my favorite waitress, Trina walking up. "Hey Y/N are you ok?"

"Yeah. Another night of Trent again." I tell her. "I just need to sit for a minute then I'll be on my way." I say to her, she nods, heading back to the kitchen. I look down and stare at the table for a good ten minutes, when I look back up, the reading man is gone. I decide to leave as well and wave at everyone. "Bye guys." I say as I walk out of the diner. You know maybe I should've grabbed a sweatshirt. It's a little chilly.

"Hey, miss, are you ok?" I hear from behind me and turn around to see the guy from the diner.

"Doin fine thanks." I try to say without sounding mean. I turn back around to continue walking.

"I'm Damien." He says, walking with me now.

"Y/N" I say, looking around.

"It's like 2 am, do you have anywhere to go tonight?" He asks me.

"No. No. I don't. My boyfriends a dick. Well, ex boyfriend." I say, he seems nice.

"Would you like to come home with me?" He asks, god dammit.

"Oh go to hell dude." I say, speeding up. He seems to run to catch up to me, putting a hand on my arm.

"And leave you here all alone for the night? I don't think so miss. It's getting colder by the hour and I have an empty guest room with many many blankets." Damien says, I can see he's just trying to be nice.

"thank you. Let's go." I say, following Damien home. The whole walk is silent. When we get there, it's how I expected it. Posters and nerdy things everywhere. I smile. Better than Trent's apartment.

"Do you want or need anything? Like coffee? Hot chocolate? Food of some sort?" Damien asks me and I sort of giggle.

"Hot chocolate would be nice. Thank you Damien." I thank him and follow him to the kitchen.

"Oh no problem. I can't just leave a lady out on the streets with probably no where to go. That's just mean." He chuckles. Everything goes silent and I stare at the wall. I feel a finger on my cheek and see Damien wiping a tear away. "You don't have to tell me anything. But please don't cry. I don't wanna see you cry. It's sad." Damien says. Before he can say anything else, I pull him into a hug.

"Thank you." I say for what feels like the millionth time tonight.

"It's nothing. Where do you plan on going?" Damien asks as a cup is placed in front of me. I take a sip and sigh.

"I'm not sure. I have a shoe box of $12,000 so probably a hotel." I say.

"You can stay here. Like I said, guest room." Damien says. "In fact, if you follow me I'll show you the room." I stand up and grab my bag, following Damien. We get to the room and there's a queen size bed and a bunch of blankets in there. "Here it is." Damien has a huge and honestly adorable smile on his face.

"Thank you Damien. I'll make it up to you somehow." I tell him and he smiles.

"No need. You get some rest. Goodnight Y/N..." With that Damien closes the door, what a sweetheart.

~3 years later~

"And that's how we met..." I finish telling Damien's female smosh friends the story. Damien left me with them a couple hours ago so him, Shayne, and Wes could go do something. They all smile.

"You guys are so perfect for each other. It's beautiful." Olivia says.

"Yeah except for the first year she wouldn't give me a chance, she just wanted to make it up to me." I hear my boyfriend say as he walks in. I jump up and practically run to hug him. When I let go he smiles at me. "Y/N, I had this long ass speech prepared but I kinda forgot everything already." I gasp as Damien gets down on one knee. "So, I guess I'll just ask you... Y/F/N will you marry me?" He asks. I begin to nod, already crying.

"OF FUCKING COURSE I'LL MARRY YOUR DUMBASS!" I yell, Damien slipping the ring on my finger before getting up to hug me. We share a kiss and everyone aws.
