A 24 year old Peter Parker found himself sat at the kitchen table his short hair pulled painfully into tiny little clumps on his head. He just had to grin and bear through the pain it would be worth it in the end. After all the little two and a half year old would surely get bored after this and stop. He was almost convincing himself of that more than anyone else.

"Last one daddy" Oh thank god he thought as he felt the last clump being pulled upon. His torture at the hands of his daughter was almost over. Or so he thought. For the next thing he knew she was pulling out what looked like his wife's makeup bag and had started to dig through. Luckily the only thing she thought was pretty enough to put on his face was a rather deep shade of pink lipstick. He cursed anyone who was listening who gave his daughter the brains to be advanced enough to be able to squiggle as he felt the product drag along his face.

"Struggling there Parker?" He looked up to hear the ever familiar voice of the love of his life as she leant up against the kitchen door frame. Her eyes showed laughter as she took in his appearance. It had become a joke between the two over the years.

"Just help me Parker" He struggled out as the two and a half year old continued to draw on his cheeks.

"Kitty Kat don't you want to say hello to mommy?" Ainsley spoke watching as her daughter very quickly dropped the lipstick and turned towards her mother reaching her hands out as to silently ask to be picked up. Once in her arms and settled on her hip Ainsley watched as her daughter rested her head into her chest and let out a yawn.

"Oh has playing with daddy tired you out Katherine May?" Ainsley spoke gently watching as the toddler yawned again and started to head towards the hallway which led to her bedroom.

Having settled the toddler who fell asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow, Ainsley walked her way back to the kitchen. Stood at the sink was none other than Peter who scrubbed at his face with a cloth trying to remove the lipstick that coated it. He approached him and took the cloth from his hands before gently rubbing at the smudged mess on his forehead.

"I thought you were meant to be in control of the toddler, not the toddler in control." She mocked watching as he pulled a face at her.

"She was missing her mom and wanted to do my hair like you do hers and I couldn't argue because I missed you too." Peter whined as he wrapped his arms around Ainsley's waist and placed his head onto her chest.

"I was only at the office Pete." She tried to reason with her husband who often acted like he was still a teenaged despite almost being in the middle of his twenties.

Later that evening the pair found themselves both stood in the doorway of their daughters room. Peter stood behind Ainsley his arms around her and her back pressed against his chest.

"I love Katherine I do but I miss the baby baby stage." Ainsley announced into the darkness as she looked at the toddler who despite her age wasn't absolutely horrible. The terrible twos was going pretty well.

"Then I guess it's time for another one then Aines" Peter suggested as he let out a quiet chuckle.

"I love you" He added

"I love you too doofus"
