The Story Continued (Ghost Hunt)

Chapter 6

"So, you're gay too?" Gene asked. He was trying to find a topic to talk about as he wanted to learn more about everyone in SPR. He didn't really have the time to do so before going back to England and now that he is in Japan for good he wants to be a real part of SPR. He himself was quite curious about the answer to his question and the time was perfect. "Or was it just a lie to get away from the girls?"

Yasu looked at the cables he was unwrapping. "Which do you think it is?" He said, his smile faint. Gene noticed that Yasu wasn't as cheerful as usual. He feared the question made him uncomfortable. "From your reaction, it looks like neither." Yasu nodded. "Still closer to the first one. Wanna hear?" Now Gene nodded curiously.

"You know, there's a guy I like." He started. Gene felt a strange unpleasant feeling in his stomach. "I've never been with someone before and I don't know him that well yet but every time I see him I just want to get to know him more. And his smile is so beautiful. But my whole life I thought I liked girls. Life is full of surprises."

Gene decided to ignore the feeling and support the other boy. "So what? You might be bi. Or even something else. You must like him very much if he turns you upside down like this. He must be a great guy." He almost whispered the last part. Now Gene was looking away focusing on the equipment. Yasu smiled. "He is, and now I might have more opportunities to spend time with him."

Gene turned to Yasuhara. "This guy you are talking about. Who is it?" He asked not knowing why he was so nervous. Yasu's lips moved to speak when they heard a scream. The boys instantly dropped everything and ran out to the hallway and then into the direction of the scream. At the end of the hallway they saw a door opened door.

It was room 011. The boys stopped in the doorway to see a horror before their eyes. It was the room of the girls that approached them before. One of them was lying on the floor in the middle of the room struggling against an unseen force. The other three were standing in the corner of the room as far as possible. The room was full of clothes and food lying around. They didn't even start to work.

"What happened here!?" A voice asked as now their two male friends were also standing by the doorway. They came from room 10. 'We were here before them. Pathetic.' Gene thought. The boys then noticed what was happening. They panicked not knowing what to do. Then another voice appeared. "Nau-Maku-San-Manda-Bazara- Dankan." It called making the force back away.

"Bou-san!" Yasu called turning around to see the monk. He and Ayako were at the staircase so they got there pretty quickly. "It will be back." Bou-san sighed and scratched his head. The attacked girl was meanwhile gasping for air. The other three and the two boys ran up to her while the four members of SPR stood at the door.

"What was it?! Weren't ghosts fake? They don't exist, right?" One of the girls cried as she hugged the attacked girl. At this time the owner arrived to see what was going on. "We're are leaving this crazy place."One of the boys said." He then shut the door right in the faces of the SPR team. They were probably pacing their things.

"A thank you would be nice." Takigawa sighed. Ayako turned to the owner, who just appeared. "Where did you even get them from?" She asked and the man smiled awkwardly. "One of the girls is the daughter of a friend so you see...." They all gave a loud sigh. "But what even happened here?" He asked. "Gene, Yasu take him to the base. Explain and report to Naru. We'll set up the equipment." Bou-san said and the boys headed to room 007, the base.

They arrived and upon walking inside discovered Mai sleeping on the sofa. "Mai gets to sleep again? Not fair." Yasu pouted. "She's dreaming." Gene explained. The boy could feel it. "Weren't you a medium? Can't you do the same?" Yasu asked as he, Gene and the owner sat on the other sofa in front of Mai. "Not anymore. Back then It took a lot to save myself. I'll need years to fully recover." Gene told the boy.

The boys then heard Naru turning in his chair. "So, what are you doing here? Already done?" He asked. Gene shook his head. He then quickly reported to Naru what happened explaining in detail for the other man to follow. "At least the first attack wasn't on Mai." Naru murmured. "The ghost might have been scared to die again if he approached her in your presence." Yasu chuckled. Naru just sighed at his comment.

"Naru, if we have some time now can we bring our luggage to our room?" Gene asked hoping to be once more alone with Yasu. Naru nodded. "Room 002." He said pointing at the keys lying on the table. "Then we'll be going." They grabbed their things and went out. The owner followed deciding it was his time to go too.

They arrived at the door and after struggling to open the door for a while finally got inside. The first thing the boys noticed was...the double bed. They froze. "Are all rooms like this?" Yasu asked. "Now that I think about it, room 011 had two double beds, so probably." Gene answered.

The boys sighed. "We'll have to deal with it." Yasu said as Gene passed him by and jumped onto the bed. "I'm taking the left side." He said. Yasu followed and sat on the bed. "Then I'll take the right side." He smiled at the figure lying beside him.

"Ey Gene." The boy started. "I know it might be uncomfortable to talk about but how did you make it back then?" Yasu asked continuing the conversation from before. Gene was shocked at the question but decided to make use out of it. He smiled. "I'll tell you if you tell me who the boy is." Yasu blushed a little. "I'm not that curious after all." He backed off. They had to share a bed during this case and he was not going to make it uncomfortable. "Not fun." Gene pouted. The boys started to unpack their things while chatting.

The doors to the base opened. Masako and John walked in, back from their walk around the hotel.
