"And why would you want to go there Mai?" Her boss asked. The girl looked away. "I kinda need to talk with the ghost."

"You are unbelievable." Naru said pinching the top of his nose while being basically dragged away by his assistant.

They arrived and Mai laid on the bed. "I'm gonna take a nap." She said while closing her eyes and getting comfortable. "Then I will watch you." Naru took a seat in a nearby chair. Mai laughed. "That...soun..ds cr..eepy." her voice was getting softer and softer. Naru smiled as he noticed the girl was already gone.

Mai opened her eyes and once again found herself in the darkness. "Mr. Suzuki!" She started calling. However, she did not have to call more than once. "I'm here, Mai. I know what happened. Thank you, for getting rid of that parasite. But I could have come to you." Mai smiled. "No problem. It's ok. This used to be your room right? I wanted to talk with you here. But I feel bad for your son. He looked quite depressed." She said as her smile faded. Mr. Suzuki put his hand on her head. "Don't worry. He has a wonderful young lady by his side but he failed to notice her." Mai looked up. "Who?"

"His assistant. I think her name was Sakura. He sent her for a vacation not so long ago. I think he thought I might hurt her. I would never hurt that young lady." Mai did not know why but she believed him. In fact, he was a very pleasant person to be around. But then another thought came to her. "Then why were you attacking the guests?" She asked. Mr. Suzuki himself was surprised. "What do you mean? The only person I was messing with was Veronica."

Well, 'messing with' he says. Maybe he does not realize how much strength he has as a ghost. "This can't be. Today was only the third time Veronica came to this hotel." She told him. The guilt was very much visible on his face. "Forgive me, I must have made a grave mistake. I was often overtaken by my emotions you see. I must have had the wrong person believing it was that woman. Will you tell my son that I'm sorry?"

That was just one big misunderstanding. Mai couldn't believe it. "Will you cross over now?" The girl asked. "I would have long ago you see." Mr. Suzuki started. "But as you know I took my own life. It's not that easy."

"Then, should I ask John to help you?" Mai offered. "That blonde boy?" He smiled. "Sure, if he can." Mai laughed. "I told you not to underestimate him."

"Yes, I know. Well, Mai. It's time for you. Your friend is getting worried." He said and Mai could feel herself waking up. "Wait." Mai yelled. "What about the dreams from your past? You showed them to me, right?" Mr. Suzuki smiled. "I kinda took the opportunity to share my pain with someone. I guess I wanted some pity." His voice however sounded so far away.

She then opened her eyes. She had a lot to tell Naru, and then the client. "Mai let me tell you one thing." Mai heard her boss speak. "You are in a lot of trouble." The girl smiled awkwardly. "I just wanted to help."

Mai together with Naru explained the situation to the client and the rest of the SPR. She then asked John for help. It looks like helping the ghost was possible so John got to work as soon as possible.

"I see. So he was here from the beginning." Mr. Suzuki sighed.

"Do you want to see him off together with me and John." Mai asked and the owner nodded. They then headed to room 001. The three of them plus Naru and Masako were in the room while the rest was already collecting the equipment.

John started praying and Mr. Suzuki appeared. "Hello, Reo." He said smiling. "It's nice to finally be able to talk to you." A few tears appeared in the young man's eyes. "It's nice to finally meet you, dad." The ghost became visibly ashamed.

"I'm sorry for the mess I made. I-" His son then spoke again. "I know. You wanted to help. It's ok."

"What a troublesome ghost." Nuru murmured suddenly and Mr. Suzuki laughed again. He became sad as he once more looked at his son. "I'm sorry that I couldn't give you more, Reo." he then disappeared. "You've given me more than enough. I just wish I could get to know you better." Reo said.

The next day SPR was once again in the waiting area waiting for the owner. All the equipment was already packed and they were ready to hit the road. Mr. Suzuki. came to talk to Naru about the so-called 'award'. However, Naru did not accept the amount of money he was offering. And no, he did not change that~ much. The night before Mai was explaining to him how the job was too easy and how they couldn't take such an amount for it over and over again so he promised her to charge the normal amount just to be able to go to sleep.

"Happy?" Naru asked as he was done talking with the client. Mai smiled and nodded. "By the way." She started. "Where are the other teams?"

"They left yesterday even before Veronica arrived." Mr. Suzuki explained. "They said something about not being needed with such a great person here. I wonder what they meant but oh well." Mr. Suzuki spoke again. "Actually I have a friend who might have a case for you. Would you be interested?" Naru thought about it for a moment. "Can you give me his contact information? Mai will give him a call in a few days." He said.

"Of course. I have his business card." Mr. Suzuki said handing him the piece of paper. They then said their goodbyes and headed to the vans. It was time to get home and prepare for the next job.

The next morning Mai arrived at the office a few minutes late. She opened the door as quietly as possible with no luck since her boss was for once not hiding in his office and instead sitting on the sofa holding something in his arms. "What is it and why is it here?" She asked not caring anymore about being late. "It's a cat, Mai." Naru answered.
