Genesis💥

I was on the phone with Khalil as he notified me on his arrival to my house. Luckily for him, I was already ready to go.

"Mkay hold on lemme get my purse real quick," I say to him as I quickly jog up the steps to retrieve my stuff. Pepper, my auntie's Yorkshire Terrier, started chasing after me.

"Purse? Yo' ass don't never wear no purse. What changed," Interrogates Khalil. This nigga swear he knew everything about me. I'm not complaining though, it lets me know that he shows attention to detail.

"Well nigga excuse me for trying to be fancy for once. I want your brother to have a good first impression of me so I'm being a lil extra." I explained as I slung my purse over my shoulder, making my way back downstairs to which Pepper followed.

Khalil sucked his teeth. "Bruh my brother don't give a fuck 'bout that none of that shit. Nine times outta ten this nigga gone see if you cute, dap me up, and praise me for you being cute. Crazy cuz the bitches he be choosing don't even be average but he always expect me to have dimes."

"Tuh." I scoff. "Well I'm a quarter in that case."

"Shiid you more than that." Khalil said making me blush, which was something I didn't even know I was capable of doing up until recently.

"Alright I'm about to come outside." I say before hanging up the phone and slipping it inside my purse.

I didn't say goodbye to Aunt Val cuz she was out grocery shopping, but I been told her that I was going out tonight with Khalil n' stuff, and of course she was fine with it.

"Getcho ugly ass back!" I shout to Pepper, who's lil eager ass was trying to come outside with me but I was blocking the doorway. He jumped back at the tone of my voice and I quickly took that as my chance to close the front door, locking it afterwards.

Butterflies filled the pit of my stomach as I slipped inside of Khalil's car. He just looked soo good and smelled heavenly, it made me nervous even when he laid his eyes on me. Then the fact that last night's memories kept replaying inside my head like a broken record wasn't helping my anxiousness tone down at all.

"Wassup ma, you look good." Khalil complimented as we shared a hug, which then escalated into a kiss. Even though it was brief, it still made me melt a little.

"Thanks." I said shyly causing Khalil to chuckle as he reversed out of the driveway.

"This nigga still ain't tell me where we going. He talm 'bout 'it's a surprise.'" Khalil spoke referring to his brother.

"Oh wow. Well did he at least tell you what we were doing?" I ask.

He shook his head. "Hell nah. This nigga stupid."

"Well it better not be no shit like Six Flags or something, cuz I'm not gonna participate." I replied stubbornly.

"Girl be quiet. Six Flags ain't even open no mo.' It's damn near nine o' clock."

"I know I'm just saying. Shut up."

Khalil turns into a large complex, consisting of nothing but big, modern style apartment buildings. They were really nice, and quite frankly, I never even knew the Westside had such luxurious apartments like these despite me growing up around here my whole life.
