Eun Y/N's relationship with Jaemin was a little complicated. That's why she broke up with him. It was a tough decision but she thinks it's the only way to make things easier for the both of them.

Her muscles vibrated as she balanced on the edge of the roof. The bright city lights is enough to make her feel calm. She breathed deeply to steady her speeding heart.

She calmly sat at the edge of the roof and gently swing her legs. She closed her eyes as the wind brushed against her soft skin.

Y/n was enjoying this moment until she heard her mother calling out for her. She sighed then climbed down.
"Y/n, I told you not to go up there. What happens if you fall down?" Mrs.Eun gripped her shoulders.

"I would possibly die or maybe get a broken neck." Y/n walked to her bed and raised a brow towards her mother.
"Y/n, I know you're still mad about what I said this morning but please, cooperate with me." Mrs. Eun sat right beside her.

"Fine..what is it?" she asked while running her fingers through her soft hair.
"Your father and I have decided to get you a new job at his company. I mean, who knows if you can help with the business there."

"Seriously? I'm not interested." Y/n lay down on her bed.
"Y/n, you'll get paid with a lot of money. Do you not want that? It's better than selling and arranging those flowers in a very small shop."

"Mom! If I'm not interested then, don't force me. I'm already happy working with halmeoni in that flower shop. I don't need to show off to people that a daughter like me, is working in a very famous company..I'm not like you, or dad." Her heart was beating really fast, while she clenched her fist.

"If that's all, then leave." She continued then lay back down on her bed.
"Y/n, you know we're doing this for your own good." Mrs.Eun got up and twist the doorknob.

"Don't forget to close the door." Y/n said, while turning away.
"You're not eating dinner?" Her mother asked once again before leaving her daughter's room.
"I'm not hungry."
"Alright. But if you do, there's some leftovers in the fridge."

Y/n immediately got up when she heard the door closed. She climbed up the roof again and sat at the edge.
"I hope halmeoni is doing alright." she swings her leg back and forth, thinking about her grandmother.

Y/n scanned the roads below. The streetlights were a bit dim but she didn't mind. In her opinion, the dim lights only helped the aesthetic of the buildings.

She pulled out her phone and dialled her halmeoni's number.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?" her grandmother asked as soon as she picked up.

"I'm not sleepy." A smile began to formed on her lips. Hearing her grandmother's voice is enough to make her smile.
"Have you had your dinner yet, my dear?"

"I did. Have you?" She lied.
"Of course. I had my dinner with Mrs.Choi. Her cooking is amazing. You should come and visit her next time."
"I really wish I could, but you know how mom hates it when I go there." She rolls her eyes.

"Give her a break, sweetheart. She's your mother." her halmeoni sighed.
"I can't believe she left you just like that after she got married. What kind of a daughter is she?" She huffed.

"If she doesn't treat me like a mother, then you should treat her like one."
"Yeah, but she-"

"That's enough,Y/n..it's your mother's choice to make."
"But-"

Before she could finish, she heard someone entering her room.
"Oh-halmeoni, I gotta go. See you tomorrow! Bye! I love you!" Y/n quickly hung up.
