Today I was wearing my light blue dress which I bought yesterday, the dress going past my knees, a white shirt underneath it and white pants too. I wore light blue slip-on shoes or flats and a light blue headband. My gloves were white and my socks too. My eye shadow was light blue and my eyeliner was a short flicked style. I had some slightly darker than (skin colour) blush and same with highlighter. My lipstick was deep blue like the jacket tattoo on my hand. I had worn deep blue nail polish too.
I had redyed my fringe this morning as it was losing its colour and starting to fade from deep blue. When I reached the cafe the other's were there as I wasn't needed until ten before ten. Cadence and Marilyn had a similar dress style to me as we always liked tripleting (like twinning, but three) and their makeup was matching colour wise. The girls didn't do eyeliner as much as Mel and I did. Mel had worn the grey sweater with some grey and red sweatpants. Their nails were white with silver sparkles. They wore white eyeliner compared to my black and natural pink looking lipstick. Their highlighter was lightly done with white for a good glow and they wore silver ring earrings too. They either dressed super girly or manly. They could pull off a flawless female model or male model look whenever they wanted and it honestly impressed me.
"Today I'm feeling like a natural disaster will occur." Cadence joked flipping her now braided, red hair so it wasn't over her shoulder. Marilyn was quickly tying up her hair into a ponytail and Mel's was in a bun.
"I guess it'll be a disaster faster when things get trasher." I tongue rolled playfully, shaking my hair out of my face.
"But the disaster will come faster when things get trasher because a party crasher came in after." Cadence continued with her own smile and cheeky grin.
"Can you two not?" Jacob growled from the kitchen, his eyes turning black with annoyance. I just laughed:
"That was a pun!" I spotted, pointing to the can of apple he was opening for his famous apple pie. He looked back at the can in shock at his own unintentional pun before huffing a 'dammit.'
"(Name), you are one pun away from me embarrassing you in front of your soulmate whenever I can, from now on. Don't test me." He warned with a playful grin. I knew he was just joking. Either way, I couldn't help myself.
"So I guess you could say I'd receive...PUN-ishment?" I cracked with finger guns--pointing them to Jacob. He sighed in disappointment while Cadence and I laughed. Marilyn was busy serving customers with Mel at the counter and blatantly tuning our bad jokes out and Cadence and I still weren't needed for waitressing just yet. Meyer was meant to be a waiter today too, but I think he's currently in the bathroom.
"Good one, (name)! I'm pretty curtain Jacob didn't see that one coming!" Cadence joked, leaning on the wall next to a window with a curtain. I pointed more finger guns to her,
"'Eyyyyy! Iceee!" I joked, taking note of the ice Meyer was pulling out of the freezer for a customer's drinks. He's so kind to do our job, as we tell terrible puns.
"Ohhh! Cold-n't guess that was coming, either!"
"I sknow right?" ('sknow' pronounced 'snow' because the 'k' is silent. You're welcome.)
"You two are snowww clever." Marilyn cheekily grinned after serving another customer. We were hanging out behind the counter so we could serve food when Jacob passes the orders to us. He can hear the orders and a computer on the counter which connects to a computer in the kitchen also shows the orders. We can cross them off the computer once cooked and served.
"We sknow!" Cadence and I joked in sync--laughing at our own joke. The rest of the day continued on like this. We'd serve customers and tell terrible jokes and puns to each other to pass the time, because today's less busy than yesterday. Yesterday seemed to be a big birthday party--so I guess that's why it was busier than today. The T.V played through the News Channel, loud enough for people to hear it, yet quiet enough to not disturb them either. It soon turned to this:
