"I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THIS 'COOKIE' IS." Papyrus shouted to Meyer and Jacob who were at the cashiers. I was quickly cleaning up a messy table from previous customers--rocking my (second fave. colour) and black punk look. That was today's challenge. It's been a few weeks since Frisk and them moved next door and as you can see, Papyrus is learning as many human foods as possible. Sans and Frisk were quietly listening in awe at the description of a simple cookie as well. The girls plus Mel and I were all wearing choker collars with spikes, black leather studded pants and black combat boots. I had a (second fave. colour) punk shirt and studded, black leather jacket over it. I wore black mascara, black eyeliner and (second fave. colour) eye shadow and lipstick. I wore the tiniest amount of blush and some dark highlighter instead of light. The others had similar makeup. The guys didn't wear any makeup today, but they still rocked punk/rock outfits.
The group had just walked in a moment ago and didn't seem to notice me just yet. I wore black, leather gloves today. So much leather; I swear. Mel was currently cooking today and the girls were waitresses with me. 'And yes, the girls were wearing gloves...heck, even Mel and the guys were wearing gloves.'
"CAN I ORDER THREE COOKIES, A BOTTLE OF KETCHUP AND TWO CHOCOLATE MILKS?" The loud skeleton yelled as I walked back to the kitchen with the tray of dirty dishes and the dirty cloth from wiping the table clean. His voice was loud and grating at first--but I've grown pretty used to it after running into him everyday when I leave for work. We have small chats and sometimes he'll even walk here with me and then order food. He loves learning about Humans. Sans will often join us as they live together and living together in the other apartment beside me is Frisk, Toriel and Mettaton.
"U-Uhhh, yeah, we'll charge two dollars for the ketchup, I guess..." Meyer nodded, trying to be polite. He was obviously scared because Frisk and Sans were glaring at him--still not forgiving him for his hate of monsters. You could very clearly see, Meyer still didn't like them.
"HOW MUCH ALTOGETHER?" Papyrus asked. I finished washing the dishes and saw the other girls were busy, so I grabbed the finished plate of food and took it to the customers who had order it.
"T-Twelve dollars..." Meyer replied unsurely. He's never had to sell ketchup before...none of us have. 'I've seen Sans drink it and I wonder...does he love it that much? Is this what I imagined my soulmate to be like? No. Do I like him any less? Nope! I don't regret knowing he's my soulmate. Now I'm wondering...how do I tell him? He won't believe me! Cadence and Meyer make sure, that whenever any monster talks to any of us, they step in straight away and end the conversation instantly with sentences that shut the conversation down. I've never gotten a chance to tell Sans...and I can't outside work, because I'm in a rush or Papyrus is talking out a storm.'
"Here's your food, Sir!" I told the customer with a smile, placing the plate of food down in front of them.
"Thank you." He replied with a flirtatious smile. I simply nodded and walked away, not daring to ask if he wants anything else--I had a feeling I knew what his reply would be. The group then went to a table and waited, engaging in conversation with each other. Mel was only just now warming up the cookies and making the chocolate milk, so we all engaged in some conversation too.
"So how's this day been for everyone so far?" A cheerful Meyer asked us.
"I want to go home." A tired Marilyn spoke up.
"I want coffee." A stressed Jacob sighed.
"I need to go to the mall after this." An annoyed Cadence glared at the now seated monsters.
"I need to buy medicine after this." I sighed, rubbing my temples. I've been staying awake late and venting stress and anxiety to my soulmate--keeping him and I awake late into the night these past few weeks. I've been trying to strike up conversation with Sans to tell him we might be soulmates and show him my eye and mark and how it's like his, but every time I do, Meyer pulls me away or Cadence joins in with a completely different conversation. I know they don't know about my soulmark--so obviously they just don't want me to be friends with Sans and them, not knowing I'm already well-acquainted because they're right next door. This is why I have insomnia and stress and anxiety at night--and a headache right now.
