Chapter 27 - Part One

Nora's pov

I stare down at my palms and bite my bottom lip nervously

We are on the way to the bright moon pack for the last two days of the Alpha meetings and I'm really nervous and me mind centers on two things first is

Amanda and David

How would they react when they see me?

Would they even want to talk to me?

And second is Austin

I need to accept his rejection the first chance I get not only because Rowan and mella won't let me breathe in peace but also for my own sanity

I begin to stare outside the window sighing deeply when I recognise the familiar territory and Rowan places a conforting hand on my lap

"Just to be sure you are going to accept Austin's rejection right" Rowan asked me for the millionth time on this trip

"Yes Rowan my answer hasn't changed from seven minutes ago" I answer getting a little irritated

"Okay just needed to confirm it" he said with a nod

"But just to be sure, you won't change your mind right" he asked me and I snapped

"Yunno what I think I'm just gonna run off and marry him instead" I roll my eyes when he grips my thigh tighter and let's out a growl

"Mine" he growl out

"Piss off wolfie" I tell him and he just frowns and mumbles something under his breath about me being so mean

The car comes to a halt and I look to see that we stopped at the bright moon pack house and my heart goes into overdrive and Rowan whispers to me saying

"It's gonna be okay" and he pecks me on the cheek

I let out a breath and step out of the car when Rowan does

He places his hand on my lower back and we walk into the house and my heart aches at the familiarity

We walk straight up to Austin's office to formally announce our arrival and that we would be staying in the pack for a few days

When we get to the door I make the mistake of opening it without knocking and I widen my eyes in horror of what I saw

Austin is on the couch with Tiffany straddling him and grinding into him need I mention that they were without clothes

I quickly mumbled I'm sorry and step back out closing the door

I look at Rowan who also seems to be staring at me mirroring my expression on his face

I mean it wasn't an uncommon thing for mates to get accidentally see in the act but it didn't make things any less awkward

Especially since those were our true mates and we haven't even mated yet and I slightly blush thinking about Rowan and I mating and the fact that my heat is coming soon

As if reading my mind he said

"Your heat is coming soon" and I just nod

"What are we gonna do about it" he says and I look up at him to see a playful glint in his eyes and a smirk and I give him a smirk of my own and I pull him down to me and I whisper in his ear nibbling softly

"We could fuck"

I look at him and see that his eyes have darkened by a few shades

I look at his lips and give him a short kiss dragging his bottom lip between my teeth and as he was about to put his arms around my waist the door opens causing me to let him go swiftly and stand up straight
