Chapter 27- Part Two

Nora's pov

We are at the Alpha meeting and we are busy discussing something about pack security

"We should tighten all boarders, and double the security, the rogues will think twice before crossing us" Alpha Liam speaks

"I'm all due respect Alpha I do not think that is the best solution" Luna Jasmine speaks up

"And what would you know, you're just a luna, stick to taking care of the pack members and leave the important things to the Alphas" Alpha Liam speaks and Luna Jasmine's mate growls and I do to

I slam my fists on the table my eyes turning grey and I stand up abruptly causing everyone's attention to snap to me

"Alpha Liam, do you mind repeating what you just said" I say in a threatening manner, I hear the sound of thunder outside

I am filled with rage, how dare he say such

I see the fear in his eyes but he quickly covers it up but he dosen't speak, smart choice

"If I heard correctly, you said she should leave the important work to the Alphas correct" I ask but he stays quiet

I look over to Luna Jasmine and she nods

"She is as capable as you are to lead a pack, she is as entitled to voice her opinion in this meeting as you are do you understand" I say to him and he nods

"I said do you understand" I growl out

"Yes Luna Nora" he says with his head down

"Good" I say and I sit down closing my eyes for a moment and I take a deep breath to clear my eyes

Once I'm calm and I'm certain my eyes are back to brown I look up and the sky clears

"So, does any one else have a problem with the Lunas, kindly voice out your opinion" I say and they all shake their head no

"Good, we may continue, Luna Jasmine I believe you were saying something" I say smiling and she looks at me with gratitude

"I believe that, the rogues will expect us to do, they would want us to focus on the boarders and leave the other side's weak" she says confidently and her mates looks at her with pride and admiration and I smile

Another Luna that I remember as Luna Alyssa speaks

"You are acctually right, I think the best thing to do would be to set a trap for them"

I nod at them both and I turn to see Rowan staring at me

"What" I ask him

"It's nothing, you're just, amazing" he says to me and I blush

The meeting ends soon after and we all leave, I've been having a very wierd feeling at the pit of my stomach every time I think of tomorrow

I decide to go for a run to clear my head

I walk fast out of the pack house

"ma desse, where are you going" Rowan says as we get out side

"I need to clear my head, I'm going for a run" I tell him as I start jogging towards the forest

"I'll come with you" he says and he runs after me

"Please don't, I just, I really need to be alone right now" I tell him and I run into the forest and shift mid jump

I run as fast as I can, addicted to way the wind runs through my fur, I chase after a deer not to kill it but just for the fun of it, I let it go eventually

I find a lake and I drink from it, when I'm done I lay flat on my stomach resting, I hear the snap of a twig but I don't get up, I know that wolf's smell anywhere

"Lias" I say in my head

Lias comes over and nudges us but mella just gets up and walks us to another edge

He follows us and pulls at mellas tail with his teeth, she growls at him but it's a playful one

She dosen't hate him, they're friends, lias understands the situation that I have been marked and that he has marked another and he has accepted it but Austin dosen't want to

Persistent prick

I go to the back of a tree and shift, I remember that we always put clothes at the back of trees in case of situations like this

I see a baggy shirt and some male joggers but I still put them on, I fold the waist of the joggers multiple times because they're too big for me when I'm convinced that they won't fall of I come out from behind the tree and I see Austin wearing a pair of black shorts

He smirked at me but I just rolled my eyes

"You know what's gonna happen now right" I say to him thinking about how to accept his rejection

It's really long overdue

"Are we going to kiss" he said in a serious manner and he comes close to me, I see him about to touch me and I speak

"Touch me and you will be buried with the queen of death in the underworld"

"Baby, why so serious, what did I ever do to you" he says placing a hand on his chest dramatically as he takes a step back

"Stop joking with me, we aren't friends, I like your wolf not you" I tell him why rolling my eyes

"Saying that dosen't make things better you know, you've just given him something to gloat about" he says rubbing his face with his palm

"Do it quick" he says and he looks at me

"I Nora Hollow accept you Austin Mason's rejection as your mate and as Luna of your pack" I say and it felt like an invisible thread had just been cut

He sighed sadly because I guess he felt it too

He walked towards me and he touched my hand and what did I feel

Nothing

I felt absolutely nothing, no sparks at all

I look at Austin to see he's already looking at me

He hugs me suddenly and I hug him back

"I'm sorry for everything Nora, I hope we can still be friends though" he says when he lets me go

"Of course we can" I tell him with a small smile
