Chapter 5

Agnarr POV

As I saw her riding a horse out of the gates, I felt guilty of what I just said.

"Did I said it too harsh?" It's the first time I fought with someone, and it felt bad, it also my first unofficial friend.

"Very Agnarr, you should chase her back, she is still young, what if something happens to her?"

Though I have so much disagreement with her right now, we are in the same boat together, we came through the portal together, then we must leave together.

"Send guards to find her."

"Right away." He bowed and went out.

Elsa and Anna then came in crying, my pants is getting wet, I gently hush them.

"Did mother go because of me using my powers?" Elsa held her hands out.

"No, she went out and took a fresher air outside." I wipe off her tears, her eyes are getting red and Anna is just holding her sister, now I feel really bad.

"Come, you have to go get your breakfast first." I hold their hands and walk towards the dining halls.

"Will mama come back?" Anna asked me.

"She will." I wasn't sure if she is willing come back but I have to make them stop worrying.

As we entered the halls, everyone still looked at me with alarmed, I wasn't that surprised anymore as I looked different and I immediately recognised someone.

"Emilie? is that you?" Emilie was my mother closest maid and friend other than Marilyn, who retire at a younger age due to some complications.

"Your- Agnarr?...I can't believe it." She covered her mouth.

"Could you serve the girls some food first? I will explain to you later." She curtsy before leaving for the kitchen and minutes later she brought out three plates of buttermilk pancakes.

"You can have it, I don't have the appetite to eat now." I pushed the plate away as the girls started munching on their pancakes while sniffing away.

"Is there something wrong?" She asked as I gestured her to take a seat before explaining everything to her.

"Oh my, i didn't knew there is this sort of sorcery."

"And she ran off."

"Of course Agnarr! Why wouldn't she? You hurt her right down there." Emilie pointed to my chest.

I nodded in ashamed, I shouldn't have said those words to her, its like punching her heart. Northuldra always value family more than anything, i should think twice before saying things out.

Emilie then point towards the entrance, winked at me as she clear the plates. I then remembered the women with beautiful singing, the walls showed Iduna holding me, it seems like it's that faithful day, and then everything piece up together.

She would have saved me that day.

"Girls, stay here, I will go look for your mother."

I wronged her, in fact I am suppose to be thankful, that day during the fight, she saved me, her enemy. That just cancel off her guilt in this fight. I then quickly ran towards the guards as they are prepping to go.

"Wait!" I stop the soldiers as they were opening the gates.

"King agnarr?"

"Less talking we have to find Iduna before anything happens to her, you hear me." I tried to gave a order, I felt superior of them, is this what it feels like to be king?

A horse then came by my side and i hop on to it, the gates opened as we race out.

"Destination. Sir, unchanged?"

"The same, the enchanted forest."

It took us hours before we reached the forest, it is sure like what Kai said, mist covering the forest, and no one can go in or out.

I tried to touch it but i felt a negative force pushing me away, I look at the deadly grassy field, no sign of Iduna, I then thought about it, how does she know how to get here, I am just not thinking straight.

"Go search the nearby villages, she might be there." I ordered as our team split into two.

I went to the village at the west and found nothing there, my hopes got down as the sun lowers. I shouldn't have yelled at her, she is already so confused about this whole situation and I still forced more it on her, it's my fault that she ran off like that.

"Sir. We found a royal arendelle horse at the eastern village." I quickly turned the horse and went east.

We reached the house and the couple refused to let anyone in, until I step in.

"King Agnarr? we didn't knew its you..."

"Where is she?" I cut them off as they led us in.

They pointed towards the upper floor, I went up to the room, taking a deep breath to rethink my choices of words before entering.

I slowly opened the door, the window wide open.

She escaped.
