Time rewind

Chapter 15

Iduna POV

As I was telling some northuldra tales to everyone except Agnarr who is still sleeping, the carriage came to an abrupt stop.

I then look outside, we are quite close to the forest based on my memory, but I can't tell if the coachman was there.

I then look out of the window and asked if the coachman was alright, but there isn't any reply which scares me.

"I will be right back." I hop out of the carriage and saw no one at the rider seat and the horses started neighing.

"Did you see where he went?" The horses neigh back, which isn't helpful in any case since I didn't understand horse language.

I then took down the light source from the carriage and look around the pathway.

He couldn't just vanish like that, I got creeped out thinking if I found a body near the carriage so I quickly hop in the carriage, feeling anxious.

I kept it in for a few minutes before Elsa tap on my shoulders.

"Mother? Are you alright?"

I still didn't got used to someone calling me mother but I wasn't in the state of caring about that now.

"The man who rode us till here is gone."

"Wake papa up! He will know what to do!" Anna said and we all started shaking Agnarr till he opened his eyes.

"The coachman is gone." I could see him froze as he rub his eyes.

"What?" He then step out of the carriage and came back in in a minute time.

"He might have went for a loo break, maybe he would come back soon."

But he didn't, which made everyone me even more anxious.

"We still have to continue the journey, the forest it's quite near to the place we are now." I told everyone.

"What about the coachman? We can't go without the horses moving." Elsa said.

"Papa you can be the new coachman! You are the best horse rider I ever seen!" Anna then springs up to Agnarr and stands on his thighs.

"I- just started horseriding this year, and riding a horse isn't the same as controlling them!" Agnarr nervously said while he kept shaking his head.

"But! You did it last time we went for Christmas." Anna frowned. I then silently laughed, knowing the Agnarr she meant isn't him.

"Then what about Iduna, is mother also a good rider too?" He rose his eyebrows while I frown at him.

"She is too! Mama could you be the coachman?" Anna then flutter her eyelashes at me.

I then shook my head, I rode reindeers before, but never rode a reindeer with a sled.

"How about I be one!" Olaf rose his branches, "Sven told me all about reindeers and horses and reindeers are the same thing." Olaf babbled it out.

I didn't want a snowman to ride the carriage, not underestimate him but he has just been born days ago, as I wanted to volunteer myself, Agnarr said first.

"You know what, I go." Agnarr reluctantly sighed, which I thankfully to him for initiating it.

"How about I go with you?" I asked, which he smiled back in return, I mean I could be a help, not
like I want to sit with him.

"Elsa you're in charge, and hold on to the carriage as we are going to have a bumpy ride." I ordered and Elsa nodded while the others started wowing.
