Chapter 20

"So... How's Nong Yo?"

Pha squinted his eyes suspiciously at Beam while taking a spoonful of his Khao Pad, which was Thai style fried rice.

"He's fine," he replied. "Where did you go?"

Beam cleared his throat and scratched his nape nervously. He felt guilty about leaving Pha and Kit by themselves, especially that he was the one who drove them to the hospital.

"Uh... Something happened—"

"With Ai'Forth?"

Beam played with his iced tea, swirling the drink around with the straw. He nodded slowly, not wanting to give further explanation about it. What was he going to say, really? Forth got into a fight with our junior moon, then took him to his old lair, told him his past story, and they laid in each other's arm until late. Yeah, no.

"Hey, at least I left you with his car," Beam tried to reason. "About that, where's his key?"

At that, Kit placed Forth's car key on the table. Beam moved his hand, but Kit took it back before he could reach it.

"What now?"

"Have you seen Facebook?" he asked.

"Facebook?" both Pha and Beam repeated.

Kit nodded.

"You're active on Facebook?" Pha asked Beam.

"Not really," he replied while shaking his head. He then turned to Kit and asked, "What's on Facebook?"

Kit threw the car key to Beam and scrolled through his phone. He responded, "The same page that posted the video just gave a clarification."

"Clarification?" Beam asked the same time Phana asked, "What video?"

Beam facepalmed. While he already told Kit, he totally forgot to tell Pha. He was sure Pha was going to be mad that the two of them didn't tell him something as important as that.

Instead of saying anything, Kit shoved his phone to Pha. Beam continued to play with his drink while occasionally glancing at Pha, looking at his reaction. As the video progressed, Beam noticed the shock, cringe, and anger on Pha's face.

"What the fuck is this?"

Beam sighed.

"Well, basically... Forth is—" "Forth is beating up a guy until he's dead?"

Beam glared at Pha, who gave Kit his phone back.

"No!"

Pha glared back at him.

"Then what?!"

Beam cleared his throat before explaining, "He was framed. That guy was raping the girl. Someone took a video of it and framed him."

Pha didn't look too convinced. Luckily, Kit jumped in before Beam could bang Pha's head against the floor in order for his explanation to enter his thick skull.

"Here's the clarification," Kit interjected, showing Beam his screen.

Following the post we made a few weeks ago about the engineering hazer team, we would like to make a clarification and apology post. We've taken down the video by the request of our source. There has been a misunderstanding regarding the reason why the head hazer, Forth Jaturapoom, was caught beating up a middle aged man. We've finally figured out that the man is a rapist and the hazer team was merely defending the victim (the girl in the video). We would like to sincerely apologize to the engineering hazer team, especially the head hazer, Forth Jaturapoom, for the misleading post.
