The door opens a little and she peeks out at him then opens the door wide to let him in. He steps into the house. He looks at her and is shocked at her appearance.

Mulla is having the worst time of her life the past few days. She had been staying with her uncle and aunt for the past year studying MSC. She always liked it here. Her aunt and uncle were loving and she adored her nieces. There were only a few more days for college before her semester leave which she planned to go home. Her nieces school had closed  aunt and the kids had gone to kerala to their parents place for a few days. Her uncle his mother and her were in the house when the news of Corona came. Since her aunt could not come here her uncle and his mother decided to go there. She had a ticket to go home the same day they were leaving. They dropped her off at her platform and boarded their train.

Mulla unfortunately was pushed out of the train as it was too crowded. She had fallen on the platform and injured herself. Before she could get up the train had left. Unable to find any other train to board and in pain she had no choice but to go back to her uncles house all alone. Luckily she had been using the spare key for the past few days and was able to get in. She had called her father and informed him about the situation. She had also called her uncle and he had been worried.

Uncle- Antha therula namaku nala therijavanga kuda ilaya ma. Ipa thane intha veetuku vanthom. Na vena en friends yarayavathu vara solren. Un friends yarkitayavathu pesiniya??

M- Pesaren mama..

Uncle- Na Unga appa kita pesaren. Romba sorry mulla intha mathri nee thaniya matiapa na ethirpakaveila.

M- Neega ena seiya mudiyum mama. Vidunga.

Her uncle had tried and tried to reach his friends but could not get hold of anyone to come and help her. She had asked her friends but none of them were available as almost everyone had gone to their home towns. The ones in Chennai she was not close enough to ask for help directly. And she definitely needed a lot of help.
She had bruises in her leg and head. She could not even walk properly.

Since then for the past 2 days she had been trying to go home and not been able to. She had tried going to the bus stand with her leg but the crowds there scared her. The trains are shut off. Her father had also tried to come get her but he couldn't. He had just called her this afternoon to tell her that kathir was coming to get her.

M to murugan on phone- Avana?? Avan en kuda pesa kuda maten appa?? Avan enga help pana poran? jeeva mamavu ila moorthy mamavo ilaya??

Murugan- Avanga vara late aagum ma. Ivan tha udane kelambi vara mudiyum.

K-Hmm.

Mulla knew kathir hated her family. She half expected him to say he could not reach Chennai and not come to get her. They had been close as children but after their family fight he had made it clear that he would have nothing to do her. While others in the family were always polite to her he alone treated her with disdain. That hate in mind she was worried if he would really help her out of this impossible situation.

She had been sitting there waiting for him hoping and praying he would come. As soon as the doorbell rang she rushed to open it. Then stopped what if it was someone else?

K- Mulla mulla.

She opened the door and as soon as she saw him relief spread through her. She had never been more happier to see a person. Her nightmare of two days was finally coming to an end. She could tolerate the pain and her brusies but being alone and not knowing what to do next with no one to help was the worst. However almost instantly her feeling of relief is accompanied by worry. She realised she has to rely on him for everything for atleast the next two days. He had never been an easy person to talk to. But looking at his face she felt a little better at the stick and concern he showed looking at her injuries. Atleast he cared a little.

M- Ulla va. En apidiye nikara?
