Parvathy is crying in the room. Murugan comes in

Kathir and mullai settle into a sort of domestic routine in the three days they are together. He usually wakes up first and goes to water the plants. She prepares tea. He cleans up the house. They cook together. She is always considerate of his preferences and that in itself is shocking to him. She asks him what he likes before cooking. Having grown up with lot of brothers kathir had always eaten whatever that was put in front of him so this was a unique experience for him. He appreciates that she is so thoughtful.

Mulla on the other hand is amazed at how easily he has adapted to this domestic lifestyle. He usually does a lot more around the house than she does and never complains. He even insists on doing the dishes. She was constantly  by him.

Then afternoons are usually the hardest for him. Mullai is always playing a game on her mobile or reads a book. Kathir tries to watch tv or listen to songs. He works in the garden in the evening. Thankfully mullai had bought a few plants that needed to be planted before the lockdown so that keeps him busy. Mulais injuries are almost healed so she often helps him in the garden too.

Evenings she calls up her parents. She is on the phone for hours with them convincing them she is ok. She is usually a little upset after every call. She also talks to Rajesh daily. But kathir keeps his distance whenever she is on the phone. At night they usually watch  movies together. She chooses the movies and kathir usually likes movies she chooses. Even if it is a dull movie they mock it together and have fun. It is quite shocking to both of them on how easy it is to get along with each other. He was reserved at first and dint talk much but her enthusiasm brings him out of his shell. He begins to enjoy their conversations together and opens up more.

They share a similar sense of humor and that makes everything better. It is usually after midnight that they go to bed.

One afternoon kathir is sitting around bored watching mullai playing her game on the mobile.

K- Apidi ena game athu?? Ivlo neram aadra??

M- PubG. Suma nerya pera sutu kolra game.

K- Sutu kolanuma?? Athuva unaku pudichurku..

M- Athu super ah irukum. Na Veriaya velaiduven..
Nee aadriya??

K- Aiyo vendam sami.. Aalungala sutu kolrathula ena kushi.. Unkita konjam jakarthaya tha irukanum nu neikaren..

M- Ada nee vera.. Na jeyachathe ila ithu varikum.

K laughing- Jeyachathe ila ya?? Sutham. Nee chinna vyasilaya jeyakala bayagarama aazhuva ipa epidi??

M- Ipa thirumba valayadi jeyaka try panuven avlo than..

K- Hmm seri seri. Cards pathen athu velayadlama?? Enakum poyuthu pogum..

Mulla agrees and he brings out the cards. They spend the afternoon playing cards  though it's just the two of them it's quite fun. He is reminded of their childhood when they all used to sit and play together. Mullai was a constant presence in his home till his teenage years. Spending the last few days with her he is reminded of those easy fun care free days.

Just then She gets a call, she picks up.

M- Sollu.. cards velaydren.. vera yaar kuda.. venadam thirumba armbikatha..

She looks at kathir and puts her cards down mouthing sorry. She gets up and goes into the room. He knows she is talking with him Rajesh. Kathir knows her moods well enough by now to know she will be frustrated in a few minutes a talk with her parents makes her sad a talk with Rajesh makes her angry. He can hear her now talking loudly on the phone. Not wanting to listen he goes to sit further away from her room.
