Quarantined together

The hug

He gets up pleased for her she is jumping up and down like a little kid when suddenly she turns and throws her arms around him. Shocked he stands frozen. She threw her arms quite forcefully and he was knocked a step back. She clasped his neck hugging him tightly.. His arms are locked to his side.

This hug lasted only for a moment but a million different emotions ran through Kathirs mind at that second. An instantaneous lust coursed through his body, his heartbeat quickened but he also oddly felt comforted. This was the only time he had ever been hugged by a girl and it was exhilarating. He wanted to put his arms around her and hold her there forever never wanting to let her go but before he could even raise his arms she pulled away taking a step back. He felt oddly empty the second she released him.

Mulla did not know what came over her to do what she did. She was excited and happy to win for the first time that she just turned and hugged him as she would her friend after winning any game. But he was not her friend this was kathir a guy she was just starting to know. What was she thinking?  He didnt even hug her back,. He was probably shocked but too polite to push her away. She released him a second later taking a step back. She looked self conscious and flustered and turned to the other side pretending to look at her phone.

M not really looking at his face- Sorry Kathiru. Jeyachathum unarchi vasa patu..

He took a second to compose himself. Looking at her directly was difficult as he dint trust himself not to give away his obvious attraction. He had to act naturally around her or she would be suspicious of his feelings.

So he tried to look at hands then just laughed it off

M smiling fakely- Hmm.. Ama thanks.

K- Na.. roomla.. charge potutu..

He hurried off almost running out of the room. After he left she shut the door and went and sat on the bed. Stupid stupid stupid.. why did she do that?? She had just done it not thinking and it was nothing. He had just laughed and said it was nothing. Obviously it was, but why was her heart thudding so fast. For a second when she hugged him she had felt blissfully happy like there was nothing wrong in the world. It was a moment of absolute peace but only to realise who she was holding. God.

No no.. The hug wasnt the issue it was Rajesh who put strange ideas into her head. It was nothing. She did not think of kathir as anything except.. her relative who had come to help her. It was Rajesh who said two people in the same house and intimate things were bound to happen and that made her doubt a innocent hug. Nothing else. That was all kathir did not seem bothered by it so obviously it was all in her head. Well she would be more careful in the future and not do humiliating things like that.

Just then she got a call from Rajesh. Ignoring his call  lead to nowhere cause he would calling her till she picked up.

M- Ena..

Rajesh- Sorry chellam. Really sorry. Una romba miss panren atha na ipidi kamichuten. Sorry.. Nee sona mathri na than un kuda irukanum ana inga veetla appaku udambu mudila athan Enala udane anga vara mudila. Na sonen ila.

Mulla is just silent. She cannot wait for this call to be over. His apology did nothing to ease her anger. She is still angry.

Rajesh- Enala un kuda pesama iruka mudiyathu. Nee en kuda pesalana na sethuduven.. please please..

He always did this always kept threatening her he would die if she dint do something he wanted. She hated that about him. She hated the fact that she still got scared he might actually do something. And it would be her fault.

There were so many things wrong with what he said but mullai did not have the energy to fight anymore. She is already in her head about a lot of things.

M- Pothum avan apidi ila nu na erkanve soliten. Na un kuda ini  itha pathi pesa maten..

Rajesh- Seri vidu.. nee pathrama iruthuko avlo than soluven.. Epa una papom nu wait panitu iruken.

He tried to chit chat about common things after that but mullai was only half listening. She was glad when he got another call to finally stop talking to him. She cut the line and lay down. She felt a little guilty that she did not even want to talk to him but told herself nothing was wrong. Everything would be fine once this lockdown was over.
