Julia's POV

We decided not to go to the hospital from my hypothermia because I seemed perfectly fine to the police officer, and I was nice and cozy in my new snow coat, snuggled into Liam's chest. In the back of a cop car. Romantic, isn't it?

"So how long will we be staying at Stan's dorms?" I asked softly with my eyes closed. He didn't answer at first, so I thought he was asleep. I opened my eyes to check, but he wasn't. Instead, he was staring into my eyes, almost in a haze.

"Liiii-aaaaaamm," I said, snapping my fingers in front of his face. He blinked a few times before he came back down to Earth.

"Yeah?" He asks me. Seriously?

"Umm, you were staring at me..." I trailed off.

"Yeah... It's kind if hard not too." He murmured, grinning like a five year old on Christmas.

...

Awwwwweeeeee!

That's just so cute!!!!

"Aw thanks Li!"I squeaked as my cheeks flushed. He just kept on smiling, glancing down to my lips every few seconds. We started to lean in a little while later. My lips had just brushed over his when we heard someone clear their throat. We sprung apart faster than it takes for a pin to drop to the floor, which you could probably hear from the awkward silence that followed. The officer looked at us and rolled his eyes. WELL.

"We're here." He said curtly while getting out and opening my door. I reluctantly moved from the warmth and comfort that is Liam and slid across the black leather seat. I stepped out onto the curb and pulled myself up using the door.

"Do you know who called you?" The detective asked. We were taken to a room with one way glass that we couldn't see through. The chairs were so uncomfortable that it might as well have been pins because everything down from my waist fell asleep. The officer was about my height and had tired piercing green eyes. He had a blonde buzz cut and was leaning on the table between us on his elbow.

"We're not sure. Neither if us could even tell if it was a woman or a man." Liam answered, twiddling his thumbs. The detective, Detective Johnson I think, nodded his head before asking:

"Do you know anyone who would have it out? For either if you? I know that you, Liam, just moved here, so do you have anyone that might have tried to physically hurt you? And Julia, I know that you're ex-boyfriend and you both had a little episode at school the other week... Do you know if he had a group of friends that might be out to get you?" I didn't answer right away, but Liam beat me to it before I could answer.

"I don't know of anyone that would try to hurt me from my old school... But Sam does have a group that always follows him around, doing what he says with know questions asked. And-" he looks to me with a quizzical look, and, knowing what he's asking, I nod my head slowly. I grab his hand for comfort before I, once again, re-live what happened to me that night. I knew I would have to tell them the rest of the story because I didn't tell Liam the whole thing...

"-Sam and one of his friends hurt her really badly in her freshman year during her homecoming..." He trailed off.

"Can you tell me what happened Julia?" Detective Johnson asked me gently, his eyes softened. I reluctantly nod my head once, feeling the first tear fall. Here goes nothing.

Liam's POV

"A sophomore asked me to my freshman homecoming. Sam. Then at the dance, I saw him dancing and kissing with another girl. So I walked over and dumped my punch over them both, which he asked me to get for him not even a minute before. Then I ran out. On Monday, I was purposely late so my mom could drive me because Sam was on my bus." She started, spitting his name out with venom. I let go of her hand and put it on her back, grabbing her hand again with my other. She looked at me thankfully before continuing.
