As Summer was coming to an end, school was beginning. It wasn't that I didn't have any friends, well I did, kind of, but it was rather that I preferred to be alone until I met Joshua.

I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock. The hardest part of school was getting up in the morning. I had hit snooze three times before I actually got up.

After getting ready for the morning and changing out of my pajamas, I headed downstairs with my phone and backpack.

I sat down at the dining table, eating the eggs and bread my mom made while scrolling through Instagram.

"What are you smiling at?" My mom smirked handing me a glass of milk.

"N-nothing," I replied, hastily putting my phone down on the table.

Living quite close to the school, me and Joshua rode our bikes. We ended up splitting ways to find our lockers. Unfortunately, our lockers weren't very close. After unpacking some of my books into my locker, I went to find Joshua before the first bell rang.

As I made was across the hallways, I accidentally ran into someone, knocking her to the ground along with the books that was in her hands.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." I knelt down beside her and helped her pick up her books.

"No, it's okay. Don't worry about it." She grinned.

"I've never seen you around before, are you a new student?"I asked curiously.

"Yeah, I just moved here from California." She responded.

"Nice, well I really got to go now, I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, sure."

-English Class-

'Okay class, since it's the first day, sit where ever you like.' The teacher said, writing something on the whiteboard. I sat down at a random empty desk in the corner of the room. I put my stuff down on the desk and sat down.

I quietly went on my phone, patiently waiting for class to start. A few minutes later, the classroom was almost filled when the girl I ran into earlier entered the classroom and sat down beside me, "Hey, I'm Olivia. You know, the girl you accidentally knocked down earlier." She said, holding her hand out.

I shook her hand, then said, "Hi! I'm Y/N and I'm so sorry about that."

'As I said, don't worry about it.'

The class went by fast. After class ended, I headed to my locker to put my books back and prepare for the next class.

'Hey!' A voice hollered. I turned around to see Joshua running towards me.

'Hey, Joshua.' I smiled.

'Wow, we only have two classes together.' Joshua said, staring down at my schedule

'Yeah.' I frowned.

'Hey Josh, you coming' A voice spoke from behind. I turned around to see a boy with black curly hair with dark brown eyes. I had a few classes with him last year, that's all I know of him.

'Y/N, meet my friend Jack Dylan Grazer. Jack, this is Y/n L/n.' Joshua introduced.

He nodded. 'Hey, L/n. Nice to meet you.'

'You too, Grazer.' I replied.
