~y/n's pov~
My eyes slowly opened and I slowly sat up on the bed. I looked around frightened realizing I wasn't in my room. The walls were painted blue, there's some clothes on the floor. My eyes made its way to the front of the room to realize this was Joshua's room. What the fuck am I doing in Joshua's room?I then spotted Josh sitting on the floor shirtless with headsets on playing video games. He turned around and took off his headset. "Hey you're finally awake!" Josh says staring at my fiery red face.
I looked down to realize I wasn't wearing my shirt. Wait is this Joshua's T-shirt? Holy shit! It is. Why am I wearing his t-shirt? Joshua soon realized I was staring down at my shirt confused. "Don't worry Olivia changed your shirt." He laughed
"Oh ok" I sighed in relief "W-what happened?" I asked while rubbing my eyes.
"You all of a sudden fainted on the floor." He began "And since jack left his car at home, I drove you to your house but no one was home to answer the door and I couldn't just leave you in my car so I took you to my house."
"H-how long was I out?"
"Three hours."
"T-THREE HOURS?" I said in shock
"indeed." he laughs
We were both quiet for a record breaking amount of time when Josh turned back around to play video games. I just sat there on his bed awkwardly when Josh asks while still facing the tv,"You know if you don't like Jack in that way you should just tell him."
"W-what?!" I trembled.
"I'm joking!" Josh laughs while turning around to face me.
Phew. I almost had a heart attack but is he seriously joking? Or does he know? Should I just come out clean? No. No. Not yet. But if not now then when?
"Josh I need to tell you someth-" I began but stopping myself in the nick of time before too much was said.
"What's up?"
"N-never mind it's nothing." I say
"Are you sure? You've been acting really strange recently."
"It's nothing" I lied "trust me"
"Ok..." Josh frowned turning his head back to the tv.
I was going to tell him but this just wasn't the right moment and the words just never seem to come out. Should I just tell jack the truth? No- he's gonna be heart broken.
Then a second later, the door swung open. Me and Josh both stared to see Jack coming in the room.

~jack's POV: earlier~
I don't think y/n likes me in the same way. Though she admits she does, I find it a bit hard to believe. She seems more interested in Josh.I knocked on the front door and Josh's mom let me in. I told Josh earlier today to say that if she doesn't like me the she should just say so to see her reaction. I was outside of Joshua's room, I leaned my head against the door while the texting Josh: I'm here.
I pressed my ears against the door:
"W-what?!" Y/n says
"I'm joking!" Josh says
What?! What does that even mea?! Does she like me or does she no-
"J-Josh I need to tell you someth-" y/n said disrupting my thoughts.
Wait what was she gonna say? Why didn't she finish her sentence? I got impatient and swung the door open.
"Hey guys..." I spoke awkwardly
"hi?" Y/n replied
I sat down on the bed next to her while Josh continued to play video games. "I couldn't help overhear but what were you gonna say to Josh?" I asked.
She didn't respond. She just sat there. Quiet.
I frowned realizing I probably made a mistake asking her realizing it was probably something personal. I patiently waited a few minutes but she never responded, she just sat staring down at the ground.
~y/n's POV~
I probably should have told jack the truth at that moment but the words just couldn't escape my mouth. It's been over a month now, I have told jack the truth yet. I don't know what to do anymore. This feels so wrong. This is wrong. I need to tell someone but not Jack or Josh.I come to realize I was still sitting next to Jack while he was waiting for me to respond to his question. I didn't know what to do so I quickly stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut behind me.
When I got back to my house, I pulled out my phone and immediately went to call Olivia. I needed to tell her the truth no matter how difficult it may be. But I couldn't do it over the phone so I told her to come over and meet me at the hill.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
When I got to the hill I sat down nervously. A few minutes later, Olivia came. "Hey" she says "what'd you want to talk about?"
Olivia sat down next to me. I'm shaking nervously not knowing where to begin, should I say that I like her boyfriend? That I don't like jack? That I like josh? That I liked josh all along but was too afraid to admit it? "I DON'T LIKE JACK!" I blurted out
"Wait-What?!" Olivia questions in shock
"I like jack. A lot. But just not in that way."
Olivia took a minute to process it all then asks, "well why didn't you just tell him?"
"I've tried but I'm scared and afraid that he's going to hate me."
"He's not going to hate you. And why'd you say yes to him in the first place if you didn't like him?"
"Well I don't know." I shrugged "because I was tryna get over-"
"Josh." Olivia says finishing my sentence.
"H-how do you know?" I asked feeling eyes starting to water.
"It was kind of obvious..i see the way you look at him- i just didn't want to assume." Olivia mumbled
I tried holding my tears back but I couldn't, I felt awful. "I'm so sorry Olivia." I choked as tears stream down my face.
Olivia then leaned in to hug me. "I'm not mad." She spoke quietly, "I'm just confused on why you didn't tell me. I wouldn't have said yes if I knew you liked him."
"That's exactly why I didn't tell you." I said " I know you like him and he likes you too and I don't want to get in the way of anything."
She leaned her head on my shoulder and gazed at the stars, "you still like him, don't you?"
"Y-yeah.." I sobbed
"So what are you going to do now? Are you going to tell jack? Do you want me to break up with Josh?"
"no.no.no." I began "don't break up with Josh. I know how much you like him. Don't break up with him."
"If you don't want me to break up with him that badly then I won't."
