The enthusiastic teenager entered the library with a grin on her face. That day she scheduled to study with Gabriel and Emilie there for the upcoming midterm exams.
She walked through the shelves full of books and past a couple if tables filled with quiet chatters as she looked around for a familiar face.

There he is.

He was sitting calmly with a novel in his hand, most likely waiting for her and Emilie since she wasn't there too. He looked so peaceful. He wore a dark blue hoodie and black jeans, simple yet eye-catching, to her.

Y/N sneakily creeped from behind him to scare him and she aggressively put her hands on his shoulders. "Boo!" she exclaimed.

Gabriel slightly jumped in his seat in suprise. Who dared to disturb him while he was reading? He turned around quickly and glared at the person, only for that glare to soften once he realized it's his friend. "Oh, it's just you. Took you long enough, dumbass." he said, closing the book in his grasp and leaving it on his side of the table, next to his textbooks.

"Why so disappointed, hm?" she teased with a smile on her face. She loved to bother him, because his reactions seemed so different from others'. Her heart skipped a beat when he looked at her, but she pretended she didn't feel it. She took the chair next to him and sat on it, taking out the textbooks she needed for those two or three hours of study session.

"Not disappointed, clearly annoyed. If it wasn't you that someone would've faced some insults from yours truly." he said, explaining himself even if he didn't really need to while brushing his platinum blond hair back a bit to reveal his forehead before it almost disappeared again. His fingers then wrapped around his grade's science book as he took it from the pile and began skimming through the pages to get to the topic they were studying in class.

"Oh, so you do have a soft spot for me. If you liked me that much, you could've just said so." she taunted him again, copying the male's actions and looking through the pages of her book. She chuckled lightly when she heard Gabriel mutter a soft "You wish" as he was more focused on finding the right page. 'Yeah, I kinda do.' she thought as she started at him.

"Y/N, you might wanna take a pic if you intend to stare Gabriel for longer" said Emilie as she sat down in front of her.

Her remark didn't go unnoticed by the quiet boy, who looked up at the girl next to him and raised his eyebrows. "If you liked me that much, you could've just said so." he mocked her with a small smirk displayed. Unfortunately for him, he felt a tug in his heart and a warm feeling rising on his neck and face.

Y/N only rolled her eyes, visibly embarrassed as blood rushed to her cheeks. She then huffed and looked at the pages of her book. "You're late, Emilie. Page 87." she said softly.

The trio studied properly for about two hours, talking only when they didn't understand something. Y/N was mentally exhausted. She was used to studying with breaks every hour, so she wouldn't get tired of it.

She closed her books with a sigh and leaned her head on Gabriel's shoulder, looking at him while he read. The girl's actions made Gabriel glance at her, but he didn't mind. "What is it?" he asked softly. "Let's take a break, I'm tired." she said, closing her eyes and trying to enjoy the peace of the library. Emilie agreed and closed her book, laying her head between her arms while Gabriel nodded but just stopped reading, leaving it on the table and staring at it blankly.

He was deep in thought. He's crush was leaning on him. o n h i m. He could feel the blush trying to crawl over to his cheeks but he suppressed it. He slowly laid his head on hers and closed his eyes as well. That left Emilie feeling a bit like a third wheeler.

She rolled her eyes with a smile and grasped Gabriel's phone that was next to him and took a few pictures she could tease him about later. She then did the same on her phone and sent the images to Y/N's contact, the notification alarming all three of them.

The girl opened her eyes and blinked before taking her phone and checking the notification. It was Emilie. She took one look at the images before slamming her phone on the table as she started to blush. She looked over to her friend and glared while the other giggled quietly.

Y/N was feeling rather bold that day, so she reached and intertwined her hands with Gabriel's and played with his fingers. After a few minutes, the boy straightened up and took his book again. "Break time's over" he said, starting to read again. Y/N missed the warmth of his hands but shrugged it off, sitting properly as she opened her book.

Another hour later and Y/N was sleeping silently on the table, her face resting on her arms. The other two decided it was best if they stopped for that day, and chatted for a while, about meaningless things, trying to pass time.
"I have to get home now" said Emilie as she put her books back in her schoolbag. Gabriel nodded and looked over at the other girl who was still sleeping. "Thanks for this study session. See you tomorrow!!" And with that, Emilie left the library, leaving the other two alone.

"Y/N, wake up."
"Y/N, wake up."
"Y/N, wake up."

She opened her eyes widely and sat up on her bed with her heart beating like crazy, only to realize it was a dream. She groaned softly and fell back into the warmth of her bed, staring up at the ceiling. 'Memories I wish I forgot. He's changed so much so I'll never get that sweet boy back. I can't even blame him for choosing her over me. We can't decide who to love...' she thought with a sigh. This thought process took a few years, since she wasn't mature enough before. She forgave the man who hurt her and tried to find peace. They were happy, made a family while she still tried to get over her friend's husband. It was pathetic. When she heard the news that Emilie disappeared, it worried her. And it still did. She couldn't imagine how hurt Gabriel's must've felt. She curled up on her bed and hugged her pillow, stuffing her face in it. 'I wish I hadn't left... I could've gotten my 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈.'

Hawkmoth scored a jackpot.
