Ever cried for no reason?
Shed, not tears but years
Of pain and fights and defeats.
Ever stood in front of a mirror
And saw both your yesterday and today but not your tomorrow?
You have no clue what the hell today is
But you know it is hell?
Ever wondered what could have been if you hadn’t been so lenient, so stern, so indifferent, so caring, so anything?
Maybe they’d be here.
Maybe the pain wouldn’t have been.
Maybe the thing wouldn’t have failed.
Maybe you’d still be you.
Maybe you just don’t know
YOU.
Ever wondered?
I’d like to know.
What is it like not to have to wonder?
I guess that’s a wonder.
