A cold reminder

It’s a cold reminder
Of our unpreparedness, our barrenness
To rebirth ourselves
For either His or our coming.
It will definitely creep up on us, counting
Our trespasses, our flesh falter.

It’s a cold reminder
When we are losing them…
Like that blue crack in the sky, soon overwhelm
By the darkness. It’s soon going to be pitch black.
That smile, snore, sniff is never coming back.
Not even the gentle touch, so tender…

It’s an even colder reminder
When they look so at peace
Deep deep in a sleep no one can ease.
A posture so selfless
So harmless.
Yet so cold, like the skin, cold. Oh dear!

Eden…
