This morning was a lot better than the previous morning, for when Billy woke up, Julia was still on his chest. Not only was she still there, she was still undressed. It surely wasn't a dream. He reached his farther arm over to her and started to gently brush his fingers across Julia's back until her eyes finally opened. "Good morning beautiful." He said with his raspy masculine voice. She just smiled and buried her head back into his chest and squeezed his body. "How'd you sleep?"
"Like an angel."
"I wonder why" He laughed with the implication that she is an angel. "What time did you want to go shopping?"
"Whenever I suppose." She leaned back up and lightly scratched his chest. "So, are we dating now or what?"
"Oh God no." Billy said quickly. He looked at her and she seemed a little offended by his response. "My apologies, I did not mean for it to come out that way. I just want you to know, that I plan on asking you to be my girlfriend like a gentleman. Yes, usually what we did should only happen in a relationship, but you were testing me."
"I'm glad that I did." Julia interrupted.
Billy laughed a little by her comment. "Anyways, I'm a gentleman believe it or not, and you will get a proper relationship proposal."
"Wow so formal you are."
"You deserve it Julia." He said and pulled her head back into his chest as she thanked him.
It was early afternoon and the two of them were out in the city shopping for clothes for Julia. They weren't a couple officially or anything, but they both had an idea for where it was heading, so they walked throughout times square hand in hand.
Julia had realized how great of a guy Billy really is. She always knew, but she could see it better than ever just by thinking back to how much effort he had put to keep her close and protect her, to shelter her. He genuinely cares for her and she could definitely tell.
While they were walking throughout the street, Julia had noticed a somewhat familiar face. She couldn't think of where she seen him, but she could tell that he knew her. He was getting closer and closer and she was so confused and a little panicked. She tightened her grip onto Billy's hand. It wasn't until he had reached the two of them and she realized that he wasn't there for her, but for Billy.
"Well there William, what's this?" The man said to Billy. He looked even more panicked than Julia did.
"Uhm, this is Julia. Julia, this is Cole, my cousin." He introduced them. That's where she recognized him, from the store where Julia and Billy first met. He was the "wingman". Cole extended his hand out to Julia to shake hers.
"So how do you know my cousin?" Cole asked her already knowing how everything got to the way it was.
"I was that girl in the store a couple weeks back. You were there, remember?" she responded.
"Remember? Ironic." he smized at her which gave Julia the uncomfortable feeling yet again. "Yeah I remember you. It seems like you make this idiot happy. You did it." He finished and stared at Julia until he snapped out of his daze and patted Billy on the shoulder. "I'll be hearing from you William." And he walked away.
"I'm incredibly sorry about that Julia. He's just, a weird guy I guess." Billy told her, but she wasn't paying any attention. She was looking ahead of her, but at nothing. Nothing at all. "Julia?" She remained in the same idle pose.
Billy nudged her gently to get her back into reality. "That's your cousin?" She said quietly.
"Yeah, what happened? Do you know him?"
