The Past

"Elena we have to do the spell now!" Bonnie said as she looked over at her friend. "Coming, Bonnie." Elena finished setting up the candles as they both sat in the middle of the room. Bonnie opened the grimoire and started the spell. "Tempus Belli praeteriti Anni primi generis. Quod praeteritum et Nunc praesens." Bonnie chanted before they both went unconscious. Bonnie and Elena had been transported into the woods. They laid unconscious on the ground. Elena woke up first to being lifted. She opened her eyes and saw a man. She ran away from him and fell onto a tree branch, it cut her leg. "Please, Don't be afraid. My name is  Mikael. I am not going to harm you." He said. "My friend, where is she?" Elena asked him. "She is safe. What is your name, sweet girl?" Mikael asked looking at her. "My name is Elena Gilbert. My friend's name is Bonnie Bennett. Our home caught on fire and we lost our families. We have been traveling for days, we are looking for Esther Mikealson. Do you know her?" Elena asked looking at him innocently "Yes, she is my wife," Mikael said as he held out her hand towards her. She took his hand and he helped her stand up her leg was bleeding. "Finn!" Mikael yelled. The men ran to their father. "Help me carry her  friend." Mikael said. Finn nodded and picked up Bonnie. "Please be careful with my friend," Elena said as she was picked up by Mikael. She wrapped her arms around Mikael's neck. They carried them into a small house. "Esther! We need you." Mikael said looking as he set Elena down onto a bed. "Two girls have found and one has been injured," Mikael added. Finn took Bonnie into Kol's room and laid her onto his bed. Esther and Rebekah rushed over to Elena and began tending to her injuries. Elena soon fell unconscious.

 A few hours later Elena woke up to people talking. She found a pair of women's clothes at the edge of her bed. She changed into them, well into everything except the corset. She looked down at herself and twirled around, she was wearing a beautiful lavender-colored dress. She walked out into what she assumed was the living room. She saw Mikael and he paused from talking and looked at her. "You look beautiful, Elena," Mikael said. She looked at him smiling softly. "Thank you, sir." She said softly, she saw Bonnie and went over to her. "Bonnie! Are you okay?" She said as she hugged her. "Yes, I'm fine, I wasn't the one who was injured though," Bonnie said as she hugged Elena back. "How is your leg?" Esther asked her. "It hurts but I'm okay." She responded softly as she turned.  "She looks exactly like Tatia," Elijah said looking at Elena. "Bonnie can you still use your magic?" Elena asked looking at Bonnie. Bonnie shrugged. Bonnie placed her hand over some hay. She levitated it into the air and it floated around everyone. Elena smiled. "I know you love it when I do this," Bonnie said looking at Elena. Soon the hay returned to where it was before. "Please sit down," Mikael said as he pointed to an empty seat next to Bonnie. She curtsied gently. "Thank you, sir," Elena said softly. "So polite and well-mannered," Esther commented. "Elena is also a gifted singer," Bonnie said softly looking at Elena. "Bonnie! You said that you weren't going to say anything." She said as she glared at her friend playfully. Bonnie smirked and shrugged. "Will you sing something for us?" Mikael asked. "Yes, please do. I'm Niklaus." Klaus said looking at her smiling. "I'm Kol," Kol said softly. "I'm Rebekah." The blonde girl said softly. "I'm Elijah. A pleasure to meet you." Elijah said softly. "I'm Finn," Finn said as he looked at her. "My name is Henrik." A small boy said softly. "I'm Elena Gilbert." She said looking at them. "So Elena will you sing for us?" Elijah asked her smiling softly. "Sure," Elena said looking at them as she stood up looking at the boys. "Only if you guys dance with me." She said smiling softly. "Let's go outside then," Esther said as she looked at them all. Elena smiled and followed her outside. They went over to the Bonfire that was happening in the village. They all went over to the bonfire. Bonnie smiled softly as she began to sing Re aww olaad All About It by Emeli Sande.  "You've got the words to change a nation, But you're biting your tongue. You've spent a lifetime stuck in silence. Afraid you'll say something wrong. If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song? So come on, come on. Come on, come on, You've got a heart as loud as lightning. So why let your voice be tamed?" She sang as she danced with Finn for a while as she sang before him handing her off to Mikael. She saw Bonnie dancing with Kol before switching to Niklaus. She also saw Rebekah dancing with Henrik before switching to Elijah."Maybe we're a little different, There's no need to be ashamed, You've got the light to fight the shadows. So stop hiding it away. She sang out beautifully as she danced with Mikael before he handed her off to Kol. Esther and Mikael were also dancing together smiling as they enjoyed the music Elena and the band provided.

To play our tune again."  She sang as she danced with Kol before he handed her off to Henrik."It's about time we got some airplay of our version of events. There's no need to be afraid. They can read all about it, read all about it, oh." She ended the last note as she looked at Elijah. Everyone clapped for Elena. She curtsied and smiled softly. "Thank you all." She said as a new and a different song began to play. She went over and placed her hand onto Niklaus' shoulder. "Can I court you, Elena Gilbert?" Niklaus asked looking at her smiling softly. "Yes, you can, Niklaus." She said smiling softly. They began to dance together for a while. They both leaned in and kissed each other gently on the lips. "Should we consider this our first kiss?" She asked looking at him innocently. "Yes, we should." Niklaus said looking at her. Elena leaned back in and kissed him once more before they went inside for dinner.
