The Protector

They ate dinner. Elena finished and excused herself. She went over to Bonnie and kissed her on the cheek. "Sweet Dreams, Everyone." Elena said innocently as she went over. "Goodnight, Everyone. I'm also going to sleep." Elijah said as took Elena to the room he shared with Niklaus. "Can I borrow one of your shirts, Elijah?" Elena asked him as she took off her dress. She now was only wearing her black laced bra and panties. "You are so sexy, Elena. I want all of you." He said as he put her into one of his shirts. "That looks good on you, my lovely Elena." Elijah said softly as he grabbed her by the waist pulling her closer to himself. She giggled as he placed her onto his bed. She smiled as he took off his own pants and joined her on the bed. She cuddled Elijah and held him close to herself. "Goodnight Elijah." She said softly looking at him."Goodnight Elena." Elijah said as he blew out the candle that lit up the room. They cuddled and soon she fell asleep. Elijah also fell asleep. Elena woke up in the middle of the night to someone yelling. She went out to the living room and saw Mikael beating Niklaus. "Mikael! What are you doing?!" She yelled as she ran over and hugged Niklaus protecting him from Mikael. "It's okay. I'm here. I'm not going to let him hurt you anymore." Elena said as she looked back at Mikael who was mad.

"If you want to hurt someone, hurt me. I can handle pain but don't you ever hurt your children again or I swear to God I will kill you with my bare hands." She yelled. Mikael slapped her across the face, kicked her and began to beat her with his belt. Elena took the beating as stood up and looked at him. Everyone but had already woken up but they were too afraid to do anything. They all watched as Elena protected Niklaus from Mikael. She grabbed him by the throat and threw him across the room. "Touch me or anyone else in this room again and I will kill you and I won't hesitate." She said as she knocked him out. "Elijah, Kol. Take your brother to his room. Esther, Bonnie and Rebekah. Take care of his wounds." She said and everyone did what they were told. "He is knocked out for a while." She said softly as she went back into Elijah's room. Everyone then stared at her.

"No one has ever tried to protect us from our father. Thank you, Elena." Kol said looking at her. "I promise that I will not let him hurt any of you again. If he tries to do anything to anyone of you, come and get me immediately and I'll handle it." She said looking at them. "Understood?" She asked they all nodded. She went over and gently hugged a shaking and terrified Henrik. "Shhhh, It's okay, Sweetpea. Elena's got you." She whispered softly as she kissed his forehead. He seemed to calm down and hugged her back. She began singing Welcome to Wonderland by Anson Seabra. "Welcome to Wonderland, we've got it all. Potions and pastries that make you grow tall. Forests and cottages, castles and cards that can talk." She sang as she looked at them.

"Welcome to Wonderland, look where you're at. Maddest of hatters, the Cheshire Cat. Magical cabins and lovely white rabbits with clocks. Dancing through a dream underneath the stars. Laughing 'til the morning comes. Everyone that leaves has a heavy heart, oh, Wonderland I love." She sang softly and beautifully as she smiled at them.

"Welcome to Wonderland, I'll be your guide. Holding your hand under sapphire skies. Let's go exploring or we could just go for a walk. Welcome to Wonderland, where should we go. There's a tea party along down the road." She sang as she noticed most of them Bonnie, Kol and Finn had fallen asleep on their beds. Henrik was also asleep. Elijah had gathered around her along with Rebekah. She placed Henrik onto his bed and looked at them.

"Make an appearance and maybe they'll sing us a song. Dancing through a dream underneath the stars. Laughing 'til the morning comes. Everyone that leaves has a heavy heart oh, Wonderland I love." She took them both into her arms. They hugged her gently.

"Nothing around here is quite as it seems. Not sure if anything's real or a dream. And the only thing sure from the start is the song that's inside of your heart, Don't let it leave. If this was a dream, then at least I've got. Memories for when morning comes. Now that I must leave with a heavy heart oh, Wonderland I love." She finished singing softly as noticed that they both fell asleep. She placed Elijah onto his bed, then Rebekah onto hers.

"Thank you for protecting us from my husband." Esther said softly. "Anytime. I will protect them until the day I die." She said looking at them. "You were able to put them all to sleep. How?" Esther asked. "I sang a relaxing song. They relaxed and they also felt safe without Mikael around so they allowed themselves to fall asleep. It works on my brother, I sing to him whenever he is scared or he just can't sleep. It's like musical magic." Elena said looking at Esther. "You go to sleep, Esther. I will watch over you all." She said softly as she looked at them. Esther nodded and went to her bed. She went over to Niklaus and took care of him for the rest of the night as the others slept. She didn't mind taking care of them. Soon Niklaus was finally asleep and he just needed to heal. She began to clean up around the house. She laid Mikael onto the couch and covered him up. She kept the fire going throughout the night to keep everyone nice and warm. She stayed awake until she knew everyone was safe, then she fell asleep in a chair.

Elena woke up a couple hours later to Mikael gently tapping her. "Elena, sweetheart. Wake up." He said softly. She pulled a knife from her waist and held it against the person's throat. She opened her eyes and looked at Mikael. "Thank you for protecting my family from me." He said. "I'm sorry." He said looking at her. "Don't apologize to me. Apologize to them." Elena said looking at him as she withdrew her knife setting it down. "I will always protect them from you, even if that means killing you." She said softly as left him alone. She set the table for everyone then she went into the kitchen and began to make breakfast for everyone.

One by one everyone woke up by smelling the food that Elena was making. She cooked lots of eggs and bacon, she set the food onto the table before she started cleaning up the mess she made. Everyone was now at the table, she joined them and they began eating breakfast. As soon as they tasted her food their eyes lit up. "This is amazing, Elena." Esther said looking at her as they all nodded in agreement. Elena smiled as she finished eating. "Well, I'm happy you all enjoyed it. Now Mikael isn't there something you would like to say to everyone else." Elena said as he held her stomach. "Elena. I'm sorry for everything I did to you all." Mikael said looking at Elena. Everyone could tell that Mikael was afraid of her. She got up and smiled. "Mikael be good. I'm tired. I'm going to sleep but don't hesitate to wake me up if there are any problems." She said as she got up, went to Elijah's bed, she looked up and saw that Elijah followed her, he laid down next to her on his bed, he wrapped his arms around her. She cuddled him as she fell asleep.
