Dream 5

In the morning Klein is cooking for their breakfast when Star comes out of her room.

"How's your sleep?"

"I dreamt about camera," Star replied thinking what is all about it.

"Camera?" Klein asked can't believe to what he heard.

"Uhm...I was standing and they are telling me to look at the camera," Star said.

Klein laughs at her.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Do you have any plan to be a model?" he asked.

"What if I want?" Star asked as she tries to smile and pose like a model and her hair being flown by the air.

Then Klein noticed how beautiful Star is. Her eyes, her nose, her lips, her hair the whole her, Klein started to feel something in his heart.

He tried to ignore it by looking at somewhere else but he keeps looking at Star's face.

While eating, Star noticed Klein to be uneager to eat and he seems thinking seriously.

Star then spooned a rice and tries to feed Klein.

"Say ah," she said while looking at Klein eye to eye and attempting to put the food in his mouth.

Klein suddenly felt nervous. He drinks a lot of water but choked.

Worried Star tried to get another glass of  water.

Klein hurriedly goes out.

"Klein, what's the matter with you? She's just a little sister, understood?" he whispered trying to convince himself.

"Kuya!" Star unexpectedly called him.

"Before we go out, get your clothes and mine then I will wash later," he told Star for her to leave him right away.

"Kuya, here they are."

"Go and wash the dishes, and I'll wash our clothes."

"But I want to wash the clothes too."

"Go and wash the dishes first," Klein insisted. But then he thought that the dishes are not that many and she can do it immediately. So he asked Star to look at the horses first if they are all there and did something to make the dishes more than the clothes.

But when Star arrived. She was shocked to see what happened. Some grains of rice and other things were scattered to the floor.

"Oh no! What happened?"

"It's just that I accidentally fell and it turned out to be that way."

"Can I wash the clothes instead?" Star asked.

"Klein has no choice but then thought of a reason."

"I have to fetch water also for the horses later after washing so you have to wash the dishes and make it to be clean."

Star understood the situation. She agreed.

"Klein washed the clothes hurriedly. So he could fetch water for the horses for them to drink."

Star was shocked to see that Klein is done washing the clothes.

Star hurriedly do her task. While Klein is sitting under the big acasia tree as he is watching the horses, Star suddenly appear in front of her. Klein thought he is still seeing Star's face even if she's not reallt there.

"Klein, just close your eyes," he told himself and close his eyes at the same time.

Star laughs loudly.

Klein opens his eyes. Star is really in front of him and laughing loudly.

"Kuya! How's your dream?" Star asked.

Klein thought it's the best to think of it as a dream.

"Ah, yes, I was caught in a dream."

"Kuya, you told me that we are going out today, can we go now?"

"Star, I think we can't go today, Mom might come home and for sure she will get angry again if she finds out that we are not here."

"Then, what are we going to do here?"

Star sits beside Klein.

"What are you doing?" Klein asks maliciously.

"Kuya," told Star, putting her arm to Klein's shoulder. If I am your real sister will you find for me even if you heard I am already dead?"

"How would I know what to say, you're not my real sister, I am sure about it."

"Kuya, that's why I ask what if," clarified Star.

Klein removed Star's arm from his shoulder and put his instead.

"If you're my sister and I found out that you're dead, why would I still have to find you?"

"Then, mom and dad are not looking for me anymore?"

"I don't know, but maybe. How would they find someone who is dead already?"

Star suddenly stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"I am looking for my parents."

"Star, the truth is you don't have family."

"Really?" she asked can't believe to what she heard.

"Yes, that's true."

Star cried. Klein tried to comfort her but still she cry and cry.

Then, Dr. Deroche arrived.

Klein saw her before Star.

"I'm sorry but I told Star, that her parents are gone."

"Did you really tell that to her?"

"Yes, that's why she's crying. I told her because she wanted to go and find for her parents."

"It's okay. I'll go and see her."

Klein noticed that Dr. Deroche has no any anger in her heart. 

He follows inside.

"Mommy?" Star said.

"Yes."

"Kuya said I don't have a family."

"Star, listen to mommy, from now on I am now your mommy."

Star hugged Dr. Deroche.

Dr. Deroche is outside the house when Klein was about to go out.

"Klein, can we talk?" she asked.

Klein agreed.

"Star is sleeping now. She's very lonely. Why do you have to do it? Next timw that you want to tell something to her, think first if you might hurt her, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"You know what, when you first call me ma'am I thought you are calling me mom as in mommy, but later I found out it's ma'am."

Klein did not say anything but waiting to what she has to say next.

"I lost my son, my daughter and my husband in a tragic accident near here. So I build this house. I promised to myself that in case someone will meet an accident near here, I might be able to help them."

"Are you still hurting?"

"A lot," she answered.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"But I'm feeling better since you two came into my life. I feel like my son and my daughter came back."

Klein felt pity to Dr. Deroche. Klein is not yet aware that she is a doctor.

While talking, they heard Star suddenly shouted.

They hurriedly run to see her.
