Couple Shirts 3

Klein is expecting Elish to talk but he's wrong.

"Thank you," Klein told the driver.

"Common, let's go," Klein assisted Elish.

Elish followed Klein but still not saying anything.

"Are you not really going to talk?" he asked.

Elish is only staring at him.

"Okay, if you want to continue being like that, what can I do? Just keep quiet."

Elish sits on the lanai. Klein follows.

"Even if you don't talk, I still want to talk to you."

Elish looks at her slippers. She saw her cut.

"Don't worry about your wound, it's just a small cut. After many days, it will close and you won't feel pain anymore."

Elish stares at his eyes.

"What I said is true. If you want ro see my cut, I'll show it to you," he said then shows it.

Elish widen her eyes as she sees it.

"It's much bigger than yours, but I am not that worried. I am not afraid of bruises...do you know why? Because I want to be a doctor," he said.

Then suddenly he remembered his old life. He was saddened.

"I really want to go home. I need to continue my studies. Do you know I'm a second year med student? And today you know what? I am really wondering what's wrong with you, maybe If I would finish my studies then I will be able to help you."

Elish looks at the sky.

"Do you also want to go home?"

Elish looks around.

"Even if you don't say it, I know you also want to go home."

Elish is still quiet.

"Do you have a brother? Or a sister?" Klein asked and glanced at her.

"Either you have or you don't have, I know I won't know about it. But in case you want to know about me, I don't have any. However, when I was younger,maybe I was in Grade 2 or 3 I wish I have a little sister. I envy my classmates who have someone to have fun with."

Elish looks at Klein.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Klein asked.

"Before I forget, we told the woman who helped us that we are siblings, so it means that you are my little sister and I am your big brother. Kuya in Tagalog. Don't forget about it. So in case you want to say something or ask something, just call me Kuya."

Then the woman ( Dr. Deroche) came.

She only smiled at them thinking she can't speak English or else Klein will be able to find his way back home.

She brought a lot of groceries and all that they need, she even buy clothes for them. She does not have a lot of time for shopping so she just bought the same colors with different size. It's like a couple shirt. But she's going right away because of the things she needed before she could get back to her work. She decided to return to her work after meeting Klein and Elish. "Thank you Ma'am," told Donny.

Dr. Deroche thought Klein is calling her mom she remembered her son and she hugged him.

Klein felt tears dropping on his back. He didn't say a word. He just let her hug him.

Then, Dr. Deroche, left a message to them written by someone else.

I don't know how to speak English so I asked someone to write this, please stay here in my house until you find your way back home. I brought things that you might need while I'm not around. I'm going back to my work. Please take care of yourself.

Klein, take care of your little sister. Be patient enough to help her. Please don't leave her.]

"Why is she so good to us?" Klein whispered to himself.

After Dr. Deroche left. Klein opened the bags she brought.

While putting the groceries on its place, Elish tried to help him.

Klein smiled at her. But Elish does not show any emotion yet.

Then, as Klein opens the bag where their clothes are, he was surprised to see 7 pair of shirts.

"Why are these shirts with the same design and color? Is this a couple shirt?" he asked himself feeling weird but he cannot do anything but to use.

He then give all small size to Elish.

Elish was surprised to see that they have the same colors of shirts and even shorts.

The colors were, black, sky blue, gray, light green, yellow, orange, and red.

Night...

Elish went outside without telling Klein. As Klein noticed Elish not around he got panic.

"Where are you?" asking Elish loudly. But Elish could not hear him.

Klein searched all room in the house but still he didn't see Elish.

He went out. He ran around the house trying to search her. But still he didn't find her.

Then, he saw something that resembles a girl. He ran thinking she might be Elish. He's right, it's Elish trying to feed the horse.

"Hey, do you know how worried I am looking for you?" he told Elish.

Elish just keeps feeding the horse.

"Hey! Did you hear what I just say?" Klein asked her with a little anger.

Elish did not mind him.

"Hey!" shouted Klein.

Elish was startled.

"When you plan to go out, tell me, so I could accompany you," Klein calmly told her.

Then Elish walks away from him. Klein follows her.

Elish then sit on the ground where she could overlook the downfield.

Klein stood up at his back.

"Wow! I've never seen a scene like this before," Klein appreciatively said.

Elish heard Klein so she looked back.

Klein sits beside Elish.

"Have you seen this scene in your life back then?" he excitedly asked Elish.

But as usual Elish did not reply.

"I don't usually go out at night. I only stay inside my room. I study my lesson and listen to music during night time," Klein shared.

"Do you like looking at the stars?" Klein asked.

Elish keeps looking up the night sky. Klein looks up.

"Do you know that the best scene during night time is the starry night. Those twinkling stars help lighten how you feel. And they give light into the dark."

Elish focus her eyes at the biggest star.

Klein noticed her.

"What's your name? I want to ask you that, but it's too impossible to know."

Elish changes her eyes' direction.

"Can I just give you a name?" asked Klein.

"Quiet? Silent? Jasmine? Ann?" Which do you prefer?"

Elish did not look at him.

"If you don't look at me when I say a name, it means you don't like it. So let's do it."

Klein thinks of familiar names. "Cynthia?"

Elish did not look at him.

"Lorin?"

Still she did not look at him.

Then he suddenly a light as he take a glance at Elish.

"Ah, I know Star. I will call you Star from now on."

Elish looks at him.

Klein laughs.

"You look at me. So does it mean that you like it to be your name? So it's final, Star, from now on I will call you Star."
