OFF WITH HIS HEAD

Henry came in rushing in, his face was burning red and he spoke in short breaths, "Critical....Ward... sick...June..can't breath." HIs hands were on his knees trying to catch his breath and when he looked up, Madame Lillith and Mr Baxter were gone,he looked at the door which was swishing back and forth, then noticed two figures, running into darkness. They were gone now, he got up and slowly made his way to the ward.
A bright yellow sign illuminated the words CRITICAL WARD, authorized personnel only. Sebastian stared up at the sign, "Well in we go." Lilith put her hand out stopping him, "Didn't you read the sign, you can't come in." Her head was sulked and her voice quivered.  "Well you see if you authorized me as authorized personnel then I would be authorized to go."said Sebastian with a smile. She nodded and walked into the ward, he stood by her side the whole time.
The ward was complete chaos doctors running from end of the room to the other trying every possible way to save this man's life, Lilith was petrified, the sight of the chaos and the fact that her husband life is on the line made her unmoving, Sebastian touched her shoulder and pointed out to a bed,it was June.
Lilith rushed to the bed,there she saw June staring up at her, his grey eyes met hers, "June."Her eyes began to swell with tears, he raised his hand to wipe her tears and  whispered to her, "Don't cry, Queens don't cry."She looked at the heart rate monitor it was beeping slowly. "I will need to leave soon." The CPAP mask fogged as he spoke, she could not bear seeing him like this. "I may not remember your name anymore but I know I love you."said June, he was smiling, his eyes reflected her. "Quick,arrange a ventilator!" she said to Henry in a loud commanding voice.
The monitor began to beep loudly,"NOW!"she yelled.Lilith looked at him and then at the monitor, "Take care of her,Sebastian." whispered June with a smile.
"No.. you can't leave me." said Lilith  over the loud beeping of the heart monitor.
"Goodbye,my love." said June as the light faded from his eyes. Off with his head as they say, June was dead.
There was silence after that, Lilith sat on the floor next to the bed, her hands covering her face as she sobbed into the bedsheets where June's lifeless arm lay. Lilith felt a hand on her shoulder, it was Sebastian. "It is alright my queen, remember what you fell in love with, it was his soul,this thing that lay before you is just a vessel, the soul never dies."
Lilth wiped her tears and looked at him, " to tell you the truth I think I am going mad." Sebastian laughed, " Want to know a little secret, all the best people are." She laughed slightly but then saw June's lfelessbody and became still again. Just goes to show a heart of stone can be broken. She looked at Sebastian and said, "I think it's time for you to go to your room. We will continue our....discussion later." She looked up at him and then realized this whole time she wasn't talking to the lunatic but to Sebastian Baxter, for now he had gone back  to aether. Sometimes she wished that she could escape to her own wonderland.
