Lilith intently stared at the one-way glass window, observing her patients, they were discussing her. Catherine looked at Lilith; she was dressed in a crimson blouse with black pants, a lab coat rested over her shoulders. Her hair was tied in a tight bun, she stood with her arms crossed looking at the window, she looked like her personality a female devil."Mrs. Baxter would you like to hear what they are saying or would you like to, 'talk'?" said Lilith without moving from where she was.
Catherine trembled a bit then gripped her bag tightly, she had not heard her husband's voice in months and if she told Lilith about the past she would go mad all over again."Alright, let's hear them." said Catherine releasing her strong grip on the bag. Lilith smiled; she was pleased with Catherine's answer.
"As I told you before dormouse, march hare is infatuated with the Queen and she has gotten him under her spell using her magic!" said Sebastian failing his hands in the air.
"Why don't you take the theatrics down a notch, but I understand what your saying, Oscar here doesn't understand he has fallen into this psycho b#t2es trap," said Ace leaning back in his chair, smirking slightly.
" I am not in love with Miss Lilith. She is the only one who cares about me," said Oscar, irritated as his arms were crossed. He spoke, " And you don't seem to comprehend that we are in a mental hospital and not in some wonderland." said Oscar to Sebastian.
Sebastian smiled looking down at his shoes, "My God, you have been brainwashed."
" Hatter, I thought you were my friend, I thought you wouldn't do this to me like everyone before ." Oscars words spit like venom.
"I think the queen's madness may have affected you, but that shouldn't be a problem we all are a bit mad. We can always help you, my friend," said Sebastian smiling disregarding the insult.
"You are just like she said raving, certifiably demented, off with one's head was the exact phrase she used." scoffed Oscar
"What the hell is wrong with you, you know what Sebastian has been through and you know he isn't the right state of mind. Hell we are all mad here but you don't have to be so cruel to him," growled Ace at Oscar, Sebastian sat emotionless, quite like he was in a daze.
Ace got up from his seat advancing towards Oscar slowly in rage, Sebastian seemed like he was in a daze and didn't acknowledge any of this. Although Ace was small he was strong and dangerous, Oscar stumbled back as Ace began advancing towards him
"DON'T COME NEAR ME ACE, WE HAVE DISCUSSED THIS, I don't want to hurt you!"
"BULLSH#4 YOU SCARED LITTLE PSYCHO AFTER WHAT YOU SAID TO OUR FRIEND WHO HELPED US GET OVER OUR FEARS AND PROBLEMS YOU HURT HIM. YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL I AM NOT KILLING YOU!" yelled Ace.
"Madame Lilith should we take action," said Henry worriedly wiping the sweat of his temples with a handkerchief.
"No," said Lilith in one calm tone, "they will stop themselves."
Catherine who was standing next to her looked worried, why isn't Sebastian doing anything? I know he would never let this happen if they are his friends. She looked at her husband who was sitting dumbfounded, it was like he wasn't there it was like he was in some wonderland. And then she remembered Aether.
A loud scream broke her chain of thought, she looked at Oscar who was crawled like a ball in the corner of the room but he wasn't screaming, she noticed the one who was, Ace.
"What's happening to that man?" said Catherine she felt queasy.
As Henry and a team of men helped Ace, Lilith spoke in a monotone voice, " This man here suffers from the case known as Post-traumatic stress disorder or commonly known as PTSD what you noticed here was an incident that triggered a flashback that caused this state of mind, although I can't tell you more due to confidentiality reasons, he knew this would happen if he went into a rage like this."
"And you didn't stop him, even though you knew what could have happened but you risked your patient's condition to get worse!" demanded Catherine, she was trembling.
"Mrs. Baxter ease yourself, I would never let anyone of my precious patients ever be in harm's way," said Lilith with stone-cold eyes.
"This is just to teach them what happens when they don't take their medications, Mr. Ace over here refused to take medications to help with his PTSD, when I tried to explain he began cursing so to get the point across I let him have it his way today so he can understand what happens when you don't listen to your doctor," said Lilith staring at the window looking down at Ace, he was glaring at her and she was glaring back.
Although she may be the most stone-cold person on the planet, she gets the point across thought Catherine.
Catherine looked at Sebastian, his eyes looked lifeless, it felt as though the colors in his iris mushed up into a dull grey color. She missed him, their life, even though he had an eccentric imagination. She never thought he would hurt her but he did that day, the day they took him to this horrible place with this devil woman, she felt slimy. Her arms were crossed around her stomach.
She looked up and Ace was staring at as they took him out of the room, Oscar went behind. She noticed that Lilith was not by her side now but in the room with Sebastian, she heard a voice, it was Henry. "Mrs. Baxter please enter the meeting room Ms. Lilith will continue her previous discussion with you and Mr. Baxter."
I wonder what she is upto but I might need to tell her the full story,
Oscar walked at a distance for Ace apologizing greatly, "Ace please forgive me I didn't mean to upset you, you both just made me really angry but Ms. Lilith is just trying to help us."
Ace stopped and looked back, he let out a sigh and said, "Firstly I am not the one you need to apologize to, you know why he is in that daze, you reminded him of Aether. Secondly, I am sorry I should not have gotten so pissed and tried to hurt you, I know you don't like human contact but I tried to hurt you."
He began walking again, his hands in his pockets, he paused again, "That woman may be a psychiatrist but she isn't humane..."
"I disagree." interrupted Oscar.
"Then you are madder than the hatter, you may have not noticed you naive little child but she set it up to remind me that I am in a cage that I will never be able to escape, my illness." sighed Ace.
Well, that mad Hatter did make some sense we are all mad here.
Ace scoffed, then smiled as the grey metallic door closed behind him.
Good luck with the Queen of hell, my friend.
