A/N I wasn't happy really with the other trailer so I made another one haha! Enjoy! It's still pretty shitty :)

After a while Thomas came down, and so did the new girl who introduced herself as Teresa.

"She came up with these Newt, I think it's for Alby."

Newt began walking into the Homestead with one of them in his hands, motioning for all of us to follow. As I did, we entered the bog wooden building and went off to a side room where Jeff was looking after the guy who I guessed was Alby, but he looked awful. There were black veins running all over his body and he was sweating profusely. His breathing was staggered and his whole body tense.

"What's wrong with him? I mean I know you said he was stung but what is happening?" I asked, looking between Newt and Thomas.

"It's called the Changing. It's what happens after you get stung. But we can't inject him with this stuff. We don't know what it is, or why it came up here with you." Newt spoken mentioning to Teresa. "For all we know, it could kill him."

"He's already dying Newt, look at him. Do you think this could make it any worse?" Thomas said as we all watched him, he was grunting and looked to be in so much pain.

"Alright." Newt replied, still looking unsure but wanting to help his friend. "Do it."

He gave the syringe back to Thomas who walked around me and Newt and went to Albys side. Newt stepped back so he was in line with me when I felt his arm snake around my waist. I jumped at the sudden contact and Newt pulled his arm away immediately as if he couldn't believe he'd just done that. He avoided eye contact so I didn't make a deal out of it, instead I just watched as Thomas hovered over Alby.

Eventually Thomas had the needle where he decided he was going to inject it and looked back at us all.

"Alright..." he said and looked back at Alby who's eyes were now open and black. Completely black.

He grabbed onto Thomas and started yelling.

"You shouldn't be here! You shouldn't be here!" Thomas was trying to pull himself away and I jumped in along with Newt to try and separate them.

"Grab the syringe!" Thomas yelled.

The second we pulled him free, Teresa stabbed the liquid into Alby and he calmed down straight away. He's breathing became less laboured and he relaxed.

"Well that worked." He'd commented.

"Okay from now one, someone watches him around the clock." Newt spoke. Still in shock from the previous events.

"I got first watch." I say, sitting down in the chair next to him.

Newt looks unsure at first.

"It's okay. If anything happens I'll find you." I tell him, realising that everyone else doesn't know that we know eachother. Sort of.

"What do you mean?" Thomas asked as the door swung open. Revealing Gally.

"Sundown Greenie, time to go." He spoke waiting for Thomas at the door.

"Wait, what did you mean?" He asked again and Newt and I look between eachother.

"We think we know eachother. I said her name before she even remembered it and she said mine the second she came out the box. That's all we know and we don't know what is going on." Newt admitted.

"Wait, so you know her?" Gally spoke up. "And you know him?"

"It's not like that. Everything comes back in pieces, I don't know how I know him." I tell them.

Gally looks frustrated but satisfied with my answer. Not knowing what else to say he turns to Thomas again.

Once he leaves, people disperse out the room as it's just me and Newt left in there. He takes a seat across from me and studies me.

"What's up." I ask, feeling weird.

"I'm just trying to figure out where I know you from. Because I know that I know you." He admits.

"I know you do Newt and I know you, but we can't do anything about it right now. The memories only come back in pieces." I remind him.

"I know that, but my instincts take over when I'm around you. Like putting my arm around you? I didn't even realise I'd done that until you jumped." He spoke.

"Maybe that's the trigger, when I held your hand the first time, that was when I remembered you." I spoke standing up and he stood as well.

I reached my arm out and grazed it along his as he put his hand around my forearm moving with my arm. I then decide to reach my hand up further and rest it on his cheek.

He watches me carefully and when I've placed it there he looks directly into my eyes.

Memories.

They all come flooding back. All of them.

Before the maze, when we were kids.

Elijah.

Cranks. The flare.

How I got put in here.

I pull back sharply. Look at the boy before me and I'm shocked. He was Newt, he was my Newt.

"Mallory... I" he cuts himself off, does he remember to?

"I remember you." I told him.

"I remember you as well, I remember you been taken away when we were kids. We did know eachother before."

I look at him, does he not remember anything else? The Scorch or anything? I decide it's against my best judgement to tell him.

"Newt, my Newt."

He moves closer towards me, so our bodies are touching and he puts his hand on my cheek, like I was doing to him a second ago. I look up at him and he moves some of my hair with his other hand. Our faces inch closer and closer together, until I feel his lips on mine. It feels right.

We move together in harmony and nothing about this feels wrong. This was my Newt. But I couldn't tell him about everything else, it was too risky.

As we pulled apart he looked at me.

"I told you, you'd find me." He spoke, remembering one the last things he said to me.

I smiled. He was right. Then we heard a pot banging from outside.

"Food time." Newt says, leading me out of the Homestead.

"Wait no, I have to watch Alby. Bring me some?" I ask and he nods, wandering off.

I sit watching Alby, his breathing lots better and he looks like he isn't in much pain at all anymore.

'Mallory.' A voice speaks, but I can't work out which direction it's coming from.

"Hello? Newt?" I ask, looking around.

'Mallory, we know you remember. You need to come out of the maze.' I soon recognise the voice as Ava.

"How are you speaking to me right now." I ask, slightly panicked, I wasn't leaving now I got Newt back.

'You need to come out of the maze. Right now. Get in the box and we will have you back. You cannot risk ruining these trials.'

"I'm not going to say anything. You put me in here, and I have him back. So I'll be dammed if you think you're going to rip us apart again." I spoke with authority.

"Mallory? Who are you talking to?" Newt comes in, with a plate of food. The voice no longer there.

"Oh just Alby." I lie feeling guilty.

I take the food off him and we sit together in a comfortable silence, I feel happy I have him back. 5 years is a long time to look for a person.

So there is no way in hell I'm giving him up so easily. I'll lie to him for now if it means we can stay together.
