Chapter 51

(Kaneki Ken)

I hid behind the shelf to prevent Yukari from seeing my expression right now. I don't want her to be bothered just because of me.

Earlier, when I caught her from falling, I realized that I need to release her or I might suck her vitality again like last time. It's dangerous if we touch each other.. I don't want to kill her..

I need to keep my distance from now on..

(Seijo Yukari)

I saw Kaneki-kun walking out of the library as soon as he finished his task. Sheesh.. You're not willing to ask for forgiveness, are you? You're so annoying! Fine, have it your way!

I walked out of the library and walked towards the opposite direction as him. What's wrong with him? He's really getting on my nerves!

Immersed in my thoughts, I realized that I was already outside of the school building. Well, I don't have much to do anyways so, I went to the picnic area. I sat on the chair and decided to read some novel I borrowed from a friend which she recommended that it was a very good story.

"Dear Kafka, huh? It's nostalgic." A man suddenly spoke, coming from the direction in front of me.

I looked up to see who that man was as it seemed a little familiar. It was Tsukiyama-san after all.

"Tsukiyama-san! What are you doing here?!" I asked, surprised.

"Just taking a walk. You see, I have an access to your school's library and I'm about to go there." He gently said with a smile.

Well, his voice seems kind. But, it's like a host's voice. I silently chuckled at that thought.

"Oh, I see.." I smiled back.

He sat in front of me.

"Are you a fan of Takatsuki Sen?" He asked.

"Eh? Who's that?" I asked as I didn't know.

"She's the author of that book." He replied, pointing at the pocket I'm holding.

"Oh.." I exclaimed.

"That book was her debut book which sold over 500,000 copies. Pretty famous, isn't it?" He said.

"Yeah. I think it's a good story too." I said with a smile.

"I'd say she is a very talented author. Oh, do you want to borrow some more books that Takatsuki Sen wrote? I can bring it to you." He said, smiling.

"Really? Thank you! I'd love to read it!" I said.

"Then, I'll bring the Monochrome of Rainbow. I say, it's easy and light. It might suit your taste." He said.

"Thanks, Tsukiyama-san!" I said, smiling in happiness.

He chuckled softly.

"Ahh, it reminds me.. Kaneki-kun and I used to talk about books like this. He was a big fan of Takatsuki Sen." He stated faintly smiling.

Oh.. Are they actually this close? Oh my gosh.

"W-Were you close, Tsukiyama-san?" I asked in curiosity.

He smiled.

"Well, I suppose so. I had invited him for a coffee and a Tennis game for a couple of times. He was such a clumsy person." He softly chuckled.

Could it be that they were really best friends?! Muu.. Now, I'm curious about them.

"Will you tell me about you and Kaneki-kun?" I requested.
