DRISHTI'S POV -
The sun rays touch my face and disturb my sound sleep, I move a bit and decide to go back to sleep. I stir a little bit in my sleep until I finally decide that I cannot sleep any more and the sun has officially destroyed my sleep. Kudos to you sun, even you want to spoil my life, come spoil it, I am free only.
I get up and look around and then realization strikes me that I am not at home. I look around to see no one in the room and then look at the clock, it was 11, shit. Where are you daddy? I cannot even wake up in the morning and start my day without your morning hug.
I stand up and go to get freshened up, I check the bag which I brought from the hotel, it has very limited clothes because who knew that I will need a whole suitcase with me when I leave.
I wear a pair of jeans and a pink top, that was the only thing in my bag that I could wear because the rest was the shorts I wore yesterday and then the mehendi and wedding outfits.
DRISHTI'S LOOK
I went out of the room and went down, I noticed all eyes on me, Pankhuri bhabhi, Aunty, uncle , Krunal bhai and last but not the least that Hardik.
"Badi wali ko toh koi sanskar nahi diye, apni hi shaadi se bhag gayi, chotti wali bhi kam nahi hai." I heard aunty say, I felt angry but I remained silent.
"Good morning, sorry for being late." I said softly, I did not want to sound rude and I had to make a conversation.
"Is this any time to wake up?" Pankhuri bhabhi asked rudely. Are these the same people who laughed when I woke up late on the mehendi day? Is she the same cool Pankhuri bhabhi who was going to do a pani puri competition with me?
"And are these any sort of clothes you wear on the next day of marriage? Dont you know how to dress up?" aunty asked. I did not have any clothes and these clothes are not bad, I thought looking at my clothes.
"Aunty woh, I did not." I was going to say something but I got interrupted.
"What did not? Did not learn any manners from home? Is this what your parents taught you? To back answer? Koi sanskar nahi diye apni betiyo ko?" aunty asked. I did not even speak until now.
"Aunty, I know that my di hurt your sentiments by running away from the marriage, and you and you feel that she played with your feeling but that is not what our parents taught us. They have always taught us what is right, to respect others and not hurt them and this is not what they taught us. I am sorry on behalf of my di, you can speak anything you wish to about me but please do not insult my family, please." I said very politely, I agree that what di did was wrong but I wont take in anything against my parents and bade papa and badi ma.
"How dare you talk to ma like that?" Hardik got up and yelled, making me jump backwards.
"I am talking very politely Mr. Pandya, I respect aunty a lot. But just like you got angry right now, even I can feel hurt when someone talks ill about my family." I said.
