CHAPTER FORTY TWO

DRISHTI'S POV - 

"Dishi get up." I heard Pankhs screamed.

"Bhabhz after sleeping at 3 last night, you expect me to wake up now?" I murmured. 

"3? Dhruv, Riya, Akash and Simran left at one."Pankhs said. 

"Ya but then I was trying to take a perfect mirror selfie with the teddy Akash gifted." I said in my sleep. 

"Usmein do ghante lagte hain?" she asked. 

"I had to take out all the cake you all had bathed me with right." I said. 

"I think we should have bought more cake." she said. 

"Yes because you smashed one whole cake on me and we didnt eat any cake because of the cake fight that turned out." I said.

"Next time 2 caked but why did you sleep at 3?" she asked.

"Then I was checking how many people wished me at exact 12, I will wish only those people at exact 12 on their birthday." I said. 

"How can someone be so jobless?" Pankhs asked. 

"Are you asking questions to the air?" I asked her. 

"Dishi, you grow one year by age but by brain you went down one year." Pankhs said. 

"I cant hear what? I am sleeping." I said and my phone started ringing. 

"Its your badi ma, pick it up." she said. 

"You pick it up and say Dishi left for college." I said. 

"Without her phone?" Pankhs asked. 

"Ya, she forgot it."I said .

"The whole world knows that you are never without your phone." Pankhs said. 

"Tell she went to take a bath." I said. 

"Arre then she will start asking me how my life is, Krunal's life is, Harry's life is, your life is, the neighbour's life is. and god know what not?" she asked. 

"Pick it up and on speaker." I mumbled and she did that. 

"Hello Dishi beta." she said. 

"Yes badi ma."I said. 

"Phone uthane mein itni der kyun lagi?" she asked, whats your problem, my phone, my wish, my rules. Aapko kya?

"I was in the bathroom."I said. 

"Acha kya kar rahi thi?" she asked and Pankhs was laughing but controlling the sound from coming out.. 

"I was taking a bath." I said. 

"acha nice, waise Happy birthday." she said. 

"Thank you so much badi ma, aapke wish ke bina toh birthday hii adhura reh jaata." I murmured the last part.

"Kal actually when your bade papa and Anu called at night, I slept so I couldnt wish." she said. 

"No problem badi ma." I said. 

"Toh aaj birthday ka kya plan hain?" she asked. 

"Ab tak toh sone ka tha jo aap already bigaad chuke hain." I said and Pankhs laughed. 

"Kya? Kisine bell mari th sunai nahi diya." she said. Acha hua.

"Nothing, someone might be at the door badi ma, go check, I will hang up, ach bye." I said and hung up. 

"Chal ab uth jana, Krunal has practice early today and I have a very important meeting so I will leave with him only." she said. 

"Okay no problem, what is the time?"  I asked.
