Maybe if we were not as doubted,
As we are,
We would be better.

Picture a world,
Where our inhibitions and our weaknesses,
Were not judged or exploited,
Where when we spoke,
We were heard.

An instance,
Of our desperate cries for help,
Were answered,
No interrogations made,
Just help rendered.

A world
Where we did not have,
A notion of matching a superficial body image,
Or unmatchable standards,
Of excelling at everything we tried,
Where likes or grades,
Did not determine our self-worth!

Imagine a moment,
Of question,
From a distant mind,
Moments away from fading,
Saved by understanding,
And not ending,
Of their life.

This one is to,
The adults,
The apparent judges and runners of the society,
Why do you not wonder,
How the society messed us up,
Way before we cried for the first time,
And prepared for a lifetime,
Of shedding tears and screaming,
And having mental breakdowns or emotions,
Or perhaps even feelings, fears and frustrations,
And insecurities,
That are beyond to us!

How do you need think,
That you gave us problems,
Not solutions,
You gave us borrowed time,
To fix Global Warming,
Racial Discrimination and Gender Inequality,
Glass ceiling and pollution,
And Honour Killings and Terrorism,
And everything else that is wrong with the world!

How do you not understand,
That you could have helped us,
By just lending an ear and a hand,
But you did not.

Many of you requested for a bigger write-up, so here you go. I talked (wrote I guess) about the things that I felt were too important not to be talked about. So if you all are of the same opinion and feel the same things, do share, vote, comment and follow me. This one is important to me. Also, don't forget to add the book to your library.

Have a great day!

Love,
Oyin.
