My baby grows bigger every day. I feel heavy and slow. My work is an effort although it is not hard, and I am free to sit or stand as I do my administration duties.
Lila still comes to the pool, but she is very distant with me. Her eyes look tired and weary, but she doesn't complain. She sometimes has bruises, but I know better than to mention them.
Renny has been so kind to me. She says she wants to help me. She is more caring than my previous auntie and looks at my growing belly with sad eyes. She also knows it is a boy and he probably won't survive. I asked her if she has had any children, but she doesn't want to talk about her past.
Today I was singing to my belly. It feels right to try and make the baby happy while it is still here with us. Renny asked me what the song was, but I don't know the name. Renny gave me an odd look and said the song sounds familiar which is so funny because I was just making it up. I do that a lot. I make up songs for the baby.
Renny asked me if I like it here. She is so strange.
Where else would I go?
