Katelyn's outfit is on the bottom, Lucinda's outfit is on the top, and your outfit is on the side, just instead you're wearing plain black sneakers instead of heels.

(Y/n)
I open another folder for yet another client. Looking over at what they thought of the party. I was an event planner for all occasions. Which I took and made a billion-dollar company. A knock sounded at my door. "Come in," I call out. Not looking up. "(Y/n)." I let myself look up now. Just to see Lucinda. In a pretty decked out outfit. She's wearing an orange and black dress with black heels. Her hair is curled up nicely. She has light makeup. Eyeliner, mascara, and a shiny lip gloss. I give a light smile. Placing down my folder on my desk as I stand up straight. "What can I do for you," I ask? I grab my phone as it goes off. Looking at the message from Katelyn. My lips quirk up in a smile.
(Y/n):
You don't owe me anything, Kate
I look up at Lucinda. "Sorry. You can start now," I say. Lucinda nods. Giving me a nervous smile. "I wanted to ask you out for lunch today. Would you go with me," she asks? I let out an awkward chuckle. Running a hand through my hair. "Um look, Lucinda. I uh don't like you in that way. Plus you're Katelyn's friend. Wouldn't that be a little awkward," I ask? Lucinda shakes her head. "Katelyn said it was fine with her," Lucinda says. I doubt Katelyn meant it if she did say that. But it still doesn't brush over the fact that I still didn't have feelings for her. "I really don't see you in the way you want me to. Besides, it would be really weird for Emersyn. And I have to do what was best for her," I point off. Lucinda comes closer and I tense up. "Just think about it (Y/n). Please for me," she pouts. A sign I think she learned from Katelyn. Since Katelyn would do the exact same things when she wanted to convince me of something. Though only Katelyn had that power over me. "Lucinda you doing that doesn't change the fact that I don't like you okay. If I liked you, I would've been made a move years ago. But I didn't. So do me a favor and just take the rejection. This is as nice as I can put it," I say. Not begging though. Because (Y/n) (Y/l/n) does not beg for anything. I work hard to be where I am today. And the last thing I would do is beg. Lucinda huffs. "Fine. You aren't good enough for me anyway." I nod my head. Watching her walk out of my office angrily. My earpiece went off. I click it with a sigh. "Let them know they can come on up, Sam. I'm ready now," I say.
Katelyn.
I pick Emersyn up. Smiling at her as she beams at me. "Mommy! I had the best day," she says. "Is that so," I asked? Emersyn nods. Going on with what she did throughout the day. I place her in the car. Buckling her in right. "Can I call Mama please," Emersyn asks? I nod my head. Grabbing my phone so I can call (Y/n). Hopefully, she isn't too busy so Emersyn can talk to her. Though the line just continues to ring. I get a message a minute later.
(Y/n):
In a meeting. I'll call back later.
"She's in a meeting and can't talk right now, Emer," I explained. Emersyn nods. Looking down sadly. I know she wanted to talk to (Y/n). But I'm not Irene. I wish I was so I could make some miracles happen. "It's okay, Emer. She'll call back later on so you can talk to her. And we can get whatever you like for dinner," I bribe. Not wanting my baby to be sad. I know it was a cheap shot. And I could try better. But honestly, I was tired. It's been a long day. "Okay, Mommy." I smile at that and close the door. She decides on the dinner and I start the drive there. (Y/n) calls as I stop in front of a red light. I hand Emersyn the phone. Making sure not to move the car at all so no one is hurt. Emersyn grins. She has a happy conversation. Giggles falling from her lips. I smile to myself. Changing lanes so I'm on the right side.
(Y/n).
I hear a loud bang on the other line. I pause in my movements. "Emersyn? Is everything okay," I ask? I don't get an answer. Even more, worry filled my stomach. "Emersyn? Emersyn talk to me," I urged. I end the call. Going to track Katelyn's phone. Years ago, Katelyn and I had put trackers on each other's phones. Just in case the other needed help. Not for any trust issues. I think that was the one thing we didn't have. Trust issues. I shake my head. Now wasn't the time to think about those things. I needed to get to Emersyn and Katelyn as quickly as I can. Once I have their location, I rush out. Grabbing my keys. The scene is already packed with people. I move my way through the crowd. My heart stopping as I see the scene. There was glass everywhere. I move on forward. Though one of the officers stop me. I glare at him. "Ma'am, we can't let you through." My fists clench up. "My daughter is over there. And last time I checked, she wasn't of age to make decisions yet," I growled. "Ma'am we can't let you in." A stretcher pushed by. And I saw my baby on it. I move pass the officer. Rushing to my baby. I heard the press. But didn't care. She had cuts on her. And was unconscious. But I was sure she would be fine. I was praying she would be okay. "Emer, it's going to be okay. Just hold on," I whisper.
