Katelyn.
(Y/n) came downstairs. But she doesn't come close like usual. She stares at me. Looking at me concern. I wonder why she won't come close to me. Why won't she come hold me? "Gone?" I nod my head. "Good." (Y/n) moves closer to me. Hugging me close. I let my arms wrap around her. Laying my head down. "I didn't want to make a bigger argument between you two. I'm sorry, Kate," (Y/n) mutters. I shake my head. Closing my eyes. I cling to her. Afraid to let go in case she was to go too. Though soon, (Y/n) pulls away soon. "Come. I know just what you want," she says. I follow behind confused. (Y/n) goes out to the backyard. I look up at her, curious. (Y/n) smiles. Saying spells. Soft music starts playing. And fairy lights cover my trees. (Y/n) clicks her tongue. Before shaking her head. The fairy lights get remove. But the music stays. She makes a flower appear. A smile makes its way to my face. "May I have this dance milady," she asks? I nod. (Y/n) tucks the flower in my hair. Before placing both of her hands around my waist. I wrap my arms around her neck. Stepping closer. The music grows louder by just a little. We dance slowly. Just swaying in the wind. I lay my head down on her chest. "Better my dear," (Y/n) asks? "Much. I miss dancing with you," I whisper. (Y/n) hums softly. Pulling me closer to her. I let my eyes slip close. Listening to the soft melody of the tune. We use to dance all the time. In our kitchen. In our room. The backyard even more. It didn't matter. A slow dance was necessary wherever we went. (Y/n)'s head leaned against mine. It's silent. Except for the music that was magically playing. "(Y/n)," I whisper. "Yes?" "Do you ever wish we never met? Or that this didn't happen," I ask? I knew when we were going through our divorce, I did. I wished for it so badly. But now I don't. I'm so glad that I met (Y/n) that fateful day. "Sometimes." I pull away quickly. Looking up at the girl. "Why," I pressed? (Y/n) sighs softly. Before smiling at me. "Because I honestly don't deserve you and your kindness of course," (Y/n) says. I press my lips into a thin line. Because I know she's lying. "(Y/n) (Y/m/n) (Y/l/n)," I state. (Y/n) tilts her head back. Before looking at me once more. Her eyes are dark. "There's a lot you don't know, Blue," she says. "So tell me," I beg. Placing a hand on her cheek. (Y/n) scoffs softly. But she leans into my touch. Her hand reaching up to close around mine. Her eyes close. "I'm supposed to be making sure that you're okay right now," she mutters. "That's not how relationships work and you know it," I whisper back.
(Y/n).
I nod my head. "I wasn't lying when I said that I don't deserve you. To some degree, I agree with Eric. I don't deserve you. I don't deserve your kindness. And each day, I thank Irene that I found you," I whisper. Not opening my eyes yet. I swallow thickly. The music was still playing. But I could barely hear it anymore. Not over the rushing in my ears. "(Y/n) that's not true. You deserve everything you have." I laugh at that. Pulling her hand away as I open my eyes. "No, I don't. That job I have just fills my mind so I don't have to think when I'm alone. I don't deserve such a beautiful girl like you and I don't even deserve a child like Emersyn," I say. Katelyn's eyes shine with worry. "How come you never told me this? (Y/n) you deserve this and everything that you built up. You deserve me." "Don't sell me fairy tales, Katelyn," I say angrily. Katelyn shakes her head. "Would I ever sell you a fairy tale? Believe me, (Y/n). I would never tell you some sob story so you could feel better. You should know that." I nod. Smiling kindly at her. "I know Kate. Can we drop this?" Katelyn frowns. But she nods. Taking both my hands in hers. "Only if you promise, you'll tell me things like this from now on," she asks? I nod my head. "Promise," I say. Kissing her forehead. Katelyn gives a small smile. Pulling me into the house.
Eric.
I sigh as I hear a knock on my front door. I wasn't expecting anyone right now. And it couldn't be Katelyn. Not after the fight that we just had. I open the door to see a woman. She's young. Probably in her late twenties. I look at her confused. "Can I help you," I ask? The woman smiled at me. Pushing pass me to come into my house. I look at her. Great. Just what I needed right now. "I heard your daughter was dating (Y/n) (Y/l/n)," she says. I knew that bastard girl was trouble. And now she's around my daughter. "She is. Why do you want to know," I ask? The lady laughs. Going to the kitchen. I watch her pour a glass of my own wine. And then come sit down on my couch. Looking at me with a smile. "Let's just say I'm a friend of (Y/n)'s," she says. I look at her. Crossing my arms. "And you're here why?" She runs her finger around the rim of the glass. Looking at it absentmindedly. "Well, I was thinking that you could help me." I open my mouth but she raises her hand. Looking at me with a smile in her eyes. Though her face remains neutral. "I know you won't work for free. I have an offer to be made. You help me with (Y/n) and I get her away from your daughter and grandchild. Permanently." I fall silent. The girl stands and sets the glass down. I realize she hasn't taken a sip. What a waste of my wine. "I need an answer now, Eric. Are you going to help me," she asks? Holding out her hand. I look at her hand. Before taking it. "You have a deal." Her face grows cold. "Good. I'll be in contact when I need your help." And then she goes. Closing the door behind her.
