"I'm Sorry." (Katelyn x reader)

Chapter 22

Katelyn
It was Emersyn's birthday today. I pick up Emersyn. Ready to take her out while (Y/n) decorates the place. "I need at least three hours," (Y/n) says. I look at her shocked. "To do what? It's a fairy theme party," I point out. (Y/n) chuckles. "Katelyn, it's not going to be your average party. I have big things planned for her party," (Y/n) says. I shake my head. Placing my hand on my hip. "And do what? Put on your special touch," I teased? (Y/n) laughs. Grabbing her phone which was ringing. "If you must know, most of my clients say I have a magic touch," (Y/n) says. I laugh at her. "Okay. Whatever. I'm leaving with Emer," I say. (Y/n) nods. Kissing Emersyn's cheek. "Happy birthday, baby. I'll see you later," (Y/n) says. I wave goodbye and go. Letting (Y/n) take her phone call. I buckle Emersyn's in her car seat. "Ready to have some fun baby," I ask? Emersyn nods. "Mama isn't coming with us," Emersyn asks? "She's making your party for you. So it's just going to be us for a little while," I say. "Oh." I smile at her. "We also got to get your dress for the party. Remember the pretty one we picked out," I ask? Emersyn smiles brightly. "Yay!" I laugh and get in the car. Driving us off to the boutique that I always go to when I need a dress for any occasion. The owner, Kacy greeted us at the door. "Happy birthday little one," Kacy says. Emersyn looks at me so I quickly translated it for the girl. Emersyn smiles. "She says thank you," I say. Kacy nods. "I have your dresses right over here." I smile at her. "Thanks." I pay for the dresses. And then we head out. I was treating Emersyn to her favorite breakfast today. And then I was going to go to some of her favorite spots. I needed to preoccupy the girl for three hours right now. Hopefully (Y/n) will be done by that time. Or I'm coming home and keeping her busy there.

I glower. "That needs to be a quarter more to the left. Don't make me say it again." The boys move it there. I finish up putting the finishing touches on the archway. Trust and believe my baby is going to have the best birthday known to men. I smile as I see the image pulling together. "Alright. You guys are dismissed. I don't need you anymore." They nod. Telling me goodbye. I hum and go to put my magic touch on the party. Just a little bit of magic in the air. So everything seems magical. It's nothing too noticeable. I just make sure the atmosphere is right. The doorbell rings. I go and grab it. Seeing some of Emersyn's friends and their parents. "You guys made it just in time. Emersyn and Katelyn should be back in just a moment," I explain. Leading the way to the backyard. 
Katelyn
I lead Emersyn to the backyard. Both of us look around in surprise when we see it. (Y/n) went all out. It was decorated head from toe. We could walk from the archway. The tables were decorated with little woodland houses. The whole place was decorated beautifully. (Y/n) comes to us. Swooping up Emersyn. "Mama," Emersyn says excitedly! (Y/n) grins. "Hi, baby. You look so cute in your dress," (Y/n) compliments "Thank you, Mama." (Y/n) hums and kissed her cheek. Letting Emersyn go. (Y/n)'s eyes meet mine. "How did you do all this in just three hours," I ask? "Oh this is nothing. I had some people help me. But honestly, this is a breeze," (Y/n) says. I smile. "Don't downplay your work (Y/n)," I say. Taking her hand in mine. (Y/n) just chuckles. Wrapping an arm around my waist. "You look beautiful today, Katelyn," (Y/n) sighs. I giggle shyly; blushing. (Y/n) just chuckled. Kissing my cheek. "I have to transfer the money to my men. You go on and host alright," (Y/n) suggests. I nod. Smiling at her. "Don't worry about it. Just don't take too long. I don't want Emer to think that you left to go to work," I say. (Y/n) nods. Giving me a gentle smile before heading inside for some privacy. I head over to everyone. Aphmau smiles brightly at me. "Katelyn, (Y/n) outdid herself! This is marvelous," she exclaims. I laugh. "That's something that I can agree on." I watch Emersyn play with her friends. She seems so happy. All her friends learned sign language so they could speak to her. So they were all conversing excitedly.

Emersyn comes up to me. I pick her up. Heading to the table with her birthday cake. Everyone was already standing around. Katelyn looks up at me. "(Y/n), do you have a lighter," Katelyn asks? I check my pockets. "Not on me. Don't worry." I conjure up a flame with my magic. Lighting the candles. Katelyn smiles. "That works too." I chuckle and diminish the flame. I use the remote to turn on all the fairy lights. Since it was getting darker out by the minute. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Emersyn! Happy birthday to you," we sing. Katelyn signs it out for us. So Emersyn knows what we are saying. I smile and move my hand. "Go ahead and blow out your candles Emer," I sign. Holding the girl so she could lean forward. Emersyn blows away all the candles. We all cheer. I grin and wipe frosting on her cheek. Because you can't have a birthday party without wiping cake on the special person's cheek. Emersyn laughs at us. Katelyn and I help her cut a big piece all for herself. I sit her down at the table with the rest of the kids. Katelyn comes over to us. Snuggling into my side. I smile and kiss the top of her head. "I've never seen Emersyn so happy," Katelyn whispers. I chuckle. "It must be the sugar," I teased. Katelyn laughs. A bright smile on her face. This day has gone perfectly. Which is exactly how I planned.
