Katelyn.
Finally, I was healed all the way. And I could function normally. The only bad thing about this is that (Y/n) doesn't need to come around anymore. I mean she still comes and picks up Emersyn. But we're back on speaking terms at least. I tap the table in front of Emersyn. She looks at me. "Dinner is ready," I say. Emersyn smiles. Pushing aside her drawing. I set her plate in front of her. And then go to grab my own plate. I sit before Emersyn. Who excitedly shows me her drawing. "You're such a good drawer," I sign at her. Smiling as my baby beams up a smile at me. (Y/n) was picking her up today. And I liked having dinner before Emersyn goes. Suddenly the doorbell rings. I stand up and go get it. It was Lucinda. I look at the girl surprised. I didn't think she would be stopping by any time soon. I give a light smile. Letting her in. "I didn't think we would be talking any time soon," I remark. Lucinda shakes her head. "I'm sorry about what I said, Katelyn. I shouldn't have said what I had," Lucinda says. I shake my head. "It's fine really. You didn't say anything too offensive," I say. Lucinda nods. Crossing her arms. "Yeah. Anyway, I'm sorry. Is (Y/n) picking up Emersyn tonight," she asks? I nod my head. "Yeah. She should be here any second. Why?" Lucinda bites her lip. Casting her eyes away. And that's when I got it. She didn't come to apologize. She came because (Y/n) was coming tonight. And she wanted to seem like a good person. I cross my arms. "Did (Y/n) reject you," I ask? "Yeah. Said that she had to do what's best for Emersyn," Lucinda mutters. "So why do you think coming here and acting like a good person, would help? Lucinda, (Y/n) isn't just some prize. She has feelings and goals," I say. Lucinda glares at me. "Like you know! You're the one that hurt her! You don't love her at all!" My eyes widened. And my nails dug into my arms. "I knew her longer than you. I know how she is!" Lucinda scoffs. "You're just trying to keep her single and fucking miserable! Why can't (Y/n) have happiness?! Why does she always have to cater to you and everything that revolves around you?! Damn, can you stop being so fucking selfish! Stop thinking about yourself and think about her for a fucking second!" I'm thrown into shock. Have I been doing that to (Y/n)? Have I been just focusing on me for the whole time? Was I that bad of a wife to her? I never meant to. I loved (Y/n). I still do love (Y/n). I want her to be happy with someone she truly loves. A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts. I sigh softly. Going to open it. It was (Y/n). I let her in. "Let me grab Emersyn for you," I muttered.
(Y/n).
I look after Katelyn worried. What was wrong with her? Though I didn't get to process that. Because of Lucinda. She smiles at me. "Hey, (Y/n)." I give a nod. "Evening Lucinda." She frowns. But I didn't care. I didn't like her. Emersyn runs out then. I smile at my baby. Picking her up. "Hi, baby. How was your day," I ask? I watch as Emersyn's eyes brightened up. Irene, I love her. I look up as Katelyn comes with her bag. "I'm booked a lot next week. So I might be bringing Emer back early," I say. Taking the bag. Katelyn nods. Giving me a light smile. "I'll be here if you do. Also, her pump is in there and I called the school ahead of time. She's been having more incidents." I nod. Looking down at my baby. "Noted. Goodnight you two," I say. Emersyn waves bye. Blowing kisses to Katelyn before we leave. I gently set the Emersyn in her car seat. "(Y/n)!" I turn around. Seeing Katelyn rushing over. She stops right in front of me. "Emersyn has a doctor's appointment this Wednesday. At three-thirty. Call me afterward to tell me what the doctor said." I nod. "Hey, Katelyn. What happened in there? It was very tense when I went inside," I say. Katelyn sighs. Her blue eyes looking away from me. "Lucinda came over to apologize just because you were coming over. And she said some really hurtful things when I confronted her," Katelyn whispers. I tilt Katelyn's head so she could look at me again. "Like what Blue," I ask? Tears fill Katelyn's eyes. And now her blue orbs were stricken with sadness. "(Y/n), have I ever made you feel like I didn't care? Like your happiness didn't matter to me," Katelyn asks quietly? I frown. "Of course not, Katelyn. It was one of the most annoying things in our relationship. It's one of the things I love about you," I say. Katelyn gives a shaky breath. "So I wasn't making you miserable? Or I didn't just force my problems on you," Katelyn says. Looking at me. I shake my head, sighing softly. "Katelyn, I could never be miserable with you. Truthfully, in our relationship, I made myself angrier. It was nothing to do with you. I wanted to let you in, but my pride has always got in the way. That's the reason why I never opened up," I say. Katelyn's hand covers mine on her cheek. Our fingers laced together. "You know you can tell me anything (Y/n). I'll always be here," Katelyn says. I smile; leaning down towards her. Katelyn's eyes shined. And a small smile came to her lips. Like she already knew what I was going to say and what was going to happen. I smirk and lean down. Letting my lips ghost over her pale ones. "Same here, Blue," I whisper.
