Y/n arrived in Hyogo late afternoon, earlier than she expected. Catching a bus, she started heading home when she noticed the numerous texts and phone calls she had missed while she was on the plane.
'Y/n, your dad and I unfortunately can't get out of our trip early and you left your keys at home. I called Kenta but you were already on your flight when we realized, it's okay though, head home and you'll be staying at a friend's place until we get back okay? Be good :)'
Ah, yikes. So that's why she felt like she was missing something. Y/n checked the weather, feeling a tightening in her throat as she walked through the neighborhood towards her house.
"You shouldn't stare at your phone while walking, you could trip." A voice comes from just in front of her and unfortunately, y/n didn't stop fast enough to avoid bumping into him.
"Aaaand you could bump into someone." The voice said lazily, y/n looked up into Atsumu's smirking face.
The blonde setter sat on the front steps of her house, waiting for her to arrive. Y/n raised her eyebrows, waiting for an explanation before remembering the text her mother had sent.
You'll be staying at a friend's place until we get back
"No, you've got to be kidding me-"
"YES, you, lucky l/n f/n get to spend three days with your favourite twins" Atsumu announced, grinning broadly.
"Kenta called Osamu and asked him if it was okay for you to stay with us for a bit until your parents got home. Don't worry about anything, Osamu and Suna are back home setting up your room right now while I came to get you."
"Suna?"
He smirked, waving his hands casually "Yeah, Suna stays over a lot when our parents aren't home. Excited to see him?" His smirk fell when he got no reaction.
"We're home!" Atsumu called once they reached his house, y/n stepped in and slipped out of her coat and shoes. She heard footsteps coming from upstairs and saw Osamu and Suna peeking down, their bangs dangling in their eyes as they peered down at her.
"Hey guys, thanks for letting me stay."
Osamu shrugged, "it's cool. Long as you don't snore like tsumu."
"Oh my god Samu can you not?! I don't snore!"
"Sure, and I didn't eat your last pudding cup."
"What?!"
And there they were, back to the constant bickering. Y/n laughed before feeling a light tug on her sleeve.
"Want to come and see your room?" Suna stared down at her, the usual bored expression on his face but inside he silently prayed she couldn't hear his heart pounding. Mentally he cussed out Kenta, blaming him for throwing a stick into his thoughts and planting false hints. In his experience, especially watching Atsumu, relationships were a sticky situation he'd rather avoid.
Y/n's temporary room was small but comfortable, it was actually Atsumu's study room but obviously he rarely used it. Osamu and Suna had set up a soft bed against the wall, away from the window and a desk.
"Thanks." She set her things down and looked back to see Suna standing in the doorway. "Umm, sooo....I'm going to change."
The blush was immediate as he quickly averted his eyes and ducked out of the room, closing the door tightly behind him. Yikes
Y/n slipped into a light blue sweater and a random pair of shorts she found at the bottom of her backpack. Brushing out her hair, she then crept downstairs to find Osamu making dinner.
