"They literally blend in with the court, how are you guys even going to see them?"

Suna snorted loudly as he stood with y/n observing their opponents. Since both of their home colours were black based, the opposing school had changed into their orange away jerseys. Y/n eyed them curiously, analyzing each player.

'Karasuno High, from Miyagi. So this is their first time at nationals? Very interesting.'

Inarizaki had arrived in Tokyo a few days before, ready for their first match in nationals. Y/n wore her Rattlesnake jersey, the one in Inarizaki's colours, hidden underneath her jacket. She hadn't wanted to at first but Kenta insisted, saying something about representation. He had been visiting the hospital more and more often but he maintained his cheerful attitude, calling y/n often and spending as much time with her as he could.

"Y/n! C'mere!" Atsumu beckoned to her from across the court.

He was talking to one of Karasuno's players, y/n recognized him as Kageyama Tobio. Her eyes fell on another player who was peppering (or at least attempting to), the boy had an interesting mop of wild orange hair.

"Tobio!! This is y/n."

Y/n and Kageyama greeted each other politely, he seemed sort of on edge so y/n decided to break the ice a little.

"You were invited to the training camp along with Atsumu weren't you?"

He nodded and she smiled warmly, "I've seen your plays, they're-"

"WATCH OUT!"

Y/n's eyes widened as she shoved Kageyama out of the way just in time to save a stray ball hurtling right towards the back of his head. Instinctively she called out "Atsumu!" and received the ball, sending it to the blonde in a smooth back set. Y/n thought nothing of it but Atsumu smirked at the surprised faces watching them and pressed the ball into Kageyama's hands, letting his eyes fall on the orange haired player who had shanked the ball.

"Just so you know, I hate playing people who suck." The blond setter yelped when y/n pinched his arm, "don't be rude" she scolded.

"Kageyama who was that?!?!"

Kageyama rolled his eyes and glared, ready to retort.

"Dumbass! She's-"

"L/n Y/n. It's nice to meet you Hinata Shoyo." Y/n called over her shoulder. She unzipped her jacket and let it fall halfway so they could clearly see the markings on her jersey, Hinata's eyes widened and he started talking excitedly to a very irritated Kageyama.

"Show off." Atsumu snorted as y/n zipped her jacket back up.

She slapped his arm, "Says you, I like him."

"Ooh, don't let Suna hear you say that." He smirked mischievously. "Actually, HEY SUNA!"

Y/n scrunched up her face indignantly as Suna stopped his stretching and walked over, "What? No! Not that way, I meant I admire him as an athlete-"

"Y/n's got a crush on that Karasuno middle blocker." Atsumu whispered dramatically, Suna raised an eyebrow at them. He cried out as they simultaneously swatted the poor setter, one in the head and the other to his stomach. Osamu stifled a laugh upon witnessing the scene as he dragged his brother off to start spiking drills.

"The little orange one or the disdainful giraffe?" Suna gazed over to Karasuno's court.

"The little orange one, and I don't have a crush on him ew. If you were with us yesterday to watch their game you'd probably feel the same. He's got some serious hops despite his height." Y/n marvelled before realizing that Suna was smirking down at her, mentally teasing her about her size again
