CHAPTER FIVE
none of your business.

—

TUESDAY 26TH, 15:28

johnny sighed, spacing out for the umpteenth time that day. the sound of his teacher droning on about physics went unheard as he thought about the beautiful (h/c) haired male he met a week ago.

his name is (m/n), right?

mark turned his head towards johnny, raising an eyebrow once he noticed that the older was once again daydreaming. he grumbled under his breath, something about him being jealous that johnny doesn't listen to the teacher but still manages to get average scores (despite his reputation as a 'delinquent').

he knew johnny was thinking about something - or rather, someone. his expression made it clear for mark.

johnny, the usually stoic male who always has an intimidating aura no matter the situation, had a neutral expression for once. mark noticed him humming to himself a few times, and when he looked closer, he was shocked to see that johnny's cheeks were tinted a soft pink. he even had a small, almost unnoticable smile on his face.

the bell rang, and while other students rushed to tidy up their things and go home, johnny stayed in place, still lost in thought.

mark sighed, tapping the older's shoulder a few times. he gestured around the empty classroom once johnny turned to him with a glare, but when the older noticed that nobody else was around but them, he quickly shoved his books in his bag before standing up.

mark walked alongside johnny, one hand in his pocket while the other was grabbing the strap of his bag. he hummed, "mind telling me what you were thinking about?" his lips curled into a teasing smirk when johnny glared at him, despite visibly blushing.

johnny groaned quietly. "it's none of your fucking business, mark."

mark chuckled, shaking his head. his smirk was still evident as he thought of what could've caused johnny to space out for that long. it didn't take him long to realize it, and when he did, his eyes widened while his smirk turned into a grin.

"you're thinking about that pretty boy, aren't you?" mark teased. "(m/n), right?"

he grinned wider when johnny stuttered, looking away to hide his blush. "what the fuck are you talking-"

"no wonder you looked so invested in your thoughts," mark cut him off, humming. he chuckled when johnny responded with an embarrassed groan, covering his face with his hands. "looks like our little delinquent johnny has a soft spot!" the younger cooed, yelping with a laugh when johnny smacked his head.

the older sighed, rolling his eyes with a scoff. "no, i don't." he said, though deep down he knew mark was right.

mark hummed, a knowing smile on his face. he placed his arm on johnny's shoulder as they continued to walk out of school.

at least he's moved on.
