Being The Different Fan

I DON'T UNDERSTAND

Chris's pov,
"Hey Chris" she said smiling.
"Hi Carrie" I answered she kept looking at me with those Gaga eyes I've seen a million times "who was that guy you were with this afternoon"
I know it's none of my business but I just don't like the guy for some reason and I may not like Carrie but she's still a friend.
She obviously thought I was jealous because of the way she giggled "he's reeko my marketing partner I just met him yesterday"
"I don't like the looks of him he seems like bad news"
She giggled again "Chris you shouldn't judge a book by its cover reeko is actually really nice"
I thought about it for a second.
Maybe she was right.
Or maybe not.
"It doesn't matter you just be careful okay?"
"Sure"
She turned to leave before I called out "and tell kady I say hi"
She waved her hand to show she heard.
I went back to my apartment.
Dexter had classes till 4:30 and this was just 1:30.
I'd gone to the skatepark today to start my photoshoot but the photographer was a no show so I had to go there early tomorrow.
I started on my assignment and notes which one of my classmates has sent to me seeing as I was not in class this morning.
And soon I grew bored.
I wonder what Carrie and kady are doing so I decided to go over there.
I knocked on the door before letting myself in and both of them were sprawled on the couch wearing robes and beauty masks with cucumbers on their eyes.
They removed the cucumbers to look at me and kady said "oh hey Chris you wanna join us"
I don't know when or why I said yes but next thing I knew my face was covered in greenish paste and I had two cucumbers on both eyes.
And it was suprisingly relaxing.
"You girls have been holding out on me all my life" I was sitting in the middle of both of them
Carrie giggled again.
And I let out a long breath "this is the life"
We took of the cucumbers when kady turned on the television and played a soap opera that they watched everyday.
I groaned "not this again"
"Hey this film is the best thing on television just give it a try you may like it" Carrie defended.
Kady got up to grab a drink.
"Just because like the beauty mask doesn't mean I'll like soap operas" I turned to face her "they are so cheesy"
"They are not cheesy" kady countered from the kitchen where she had appeared from with three sodas "you're free to leave if Don't wanna watch buy you still have to wait for the mask to dry so we can peel it off"
It's not like I had anything better to do and these girls were the only ones who knew how to take off the mask so I was forced to stay and watch the soap opera.
Twenty minutes in and Eduardo just found out that Isabelle is not his real daughter and I was so engrossed "woah plot twist so Danielle had been lying to him this whole time"
"I knew he shouldn't have trusted her" kady said wagging her finger.
"I'm sure she is the one who killed sir John" Carrie said shoving some chips in her mouth.
"She's evil but she's not that evil" I answered "it was probably Simone her twin who switched the babies and killed sir John to cover her secret"
They both gasped at the new possibility and I was so engrossed that I didn't even notice that Carrie had made a video of me talking.
When the film finally finished I promised kady that I'd come back here tomorrow at four to watch the next episode.
We were still chatting about it when the timer went off signifying that it was time to take of our masks.
We first took a selfie together before we started trying to take the mask of kady.
We we're almost done when Dexter walked in.
"Chris!"
I was startled by his voice and I quickly hid my face when I remembered the beauty mask.
"Chris is that you" he walked up to me and I knew it was no use hiding "oh no man what have they done to you" he faked crying.
"Ha ha ha" I decided not to defend my dignity "this is actually surprisingly relaxing and I don't regret it one bit"
I continued removing kady's face mask when Dexter said "who are you and what have you done to my best friend?"
"This isn't even the most surprising part" Carrie said taking out her phone Dexter moved closer to her to check what she was talking about and then I heard my voice explaining my theory about the soap opera.
I rolled my eyes, mentally facepalming myself for not realising that she had made a video.
"Woah that can't be chris?"
"It sure is" she answered.
"Chris defend yourself" he demanded.
"It's a really good series" I answered not ashamed of myself.
"Oh no" he pretended to faint.
I ignored him and when I finished with kady's mask I said "Carrie come let's take yours off"
She sat down in front of me while kady was scolding Dexter for making fun of me.
I took of the mask slowly and her body shivered at my touch.
When I finished I noticed that Dexter and kady where nowhere to be found.
"Hey where'd they go?"
"I don't know but Dexter did tell me something about asking her out I think he took her out to make his move"
I was happy for him and I was thinking about that as kady took of my mask.
I didn't notice that she was blushing as she did so.
And when she was done I looked at myself in the mirror and felt my skin
It felt so smooth and soft. I should do this more often.
I took a picture then gestured for Carrie to come join me.
We did a silly photo shoot with different poses and funny faces.
We were still taking pictures when dexter and kady came in smiling.
"Hey where'd you guys go" I asked.
"We went for a walk" kady said smiling "and Dexter asked me to be his girlfriend"
I didn't see the signs fast enough to cover my ears when kady and Carrie started squealing and almost ruined my ear drums.
"Pipe down girls" my ears were ringing.
They both went to Kady's room probably to talk about how it went down
And we left them to it.
"So you finally did it" I said when we got to our apartment.
"Yup best decision I ever made" he was smiling now.
"I'm happy for you"
"Yeah thanks bro and hey who knows it could be you and Carrie next"
I let out a humourless laugh "Don't even go there"
And he laughed at me.

Carrie's POV,
After the whole Dexter drama I was finally able to calm kady down and get her to sleep.
I woke up early and got dressed for my morning class.
The day went by as usual except I didn't see reeko in class.
When I finished I packed up my things and went back home.
I still had lots of research to do.
When I got home kady wasn't home yet which was normal cause she told me she had to go somewhere after school today.
I got to work on my laptop with only a cup of coffee as a partner.
And after a while of working I heard a knock on the door and concluded it was kady not bothering to think about the fact that kady had a key and wouldn't need to knock.
"Come in" I said taking a sip of my coffee and almost spat it out when I turned around to meet reeko's gaze.
"Um reeko what are you doing here" I said wiping my mouth and trying not to look so surprised.
"I told you earlier that I would come over today" he said smiling slyly "and I brought chocolates" he said raising a big Walmart bag.
I have no idea how he knew that I loved chocolate and frankly I didn't care all I could think about was the bag full of chocolates.
"I won't even ask how you know that I love chocolates just give it here" I snatched the bag from him and he sat opposite me on the island.
I shifted my laptop to one side of the table and emptied the contents of the bag on the table.
He watched as my eyes lit up when I saw the assorted varieties of goodies on the table before me.
"If I die right now I'm going to heaven" I said as I snagged a bar of Snickers and munched it happily.
He laughed at this and took a bar of Snickers and also started chewing it slowly.
We spoke for what seemed like hours and joked about me being a chocolate addict because he had only had two bars and I was half way through the stash and it was really fun hanging out with him but after a while I started to feel sick from all the chocolate and he seemed to notice because he came beside me and started rubbing my back.
"Are you okay?" He asked seeming concerned.
"Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have eaten all those chocolates" he chuckled at my response.
Just then Chris walked in on reeko rubbing my back and something told me he wasn't pleased.
"Oh hey Chris" I said in an uncomfortable tone partly because of how he was looking at me and the chocolate sickness.
"Hey man I'm..." Dexter tried to introduce himself but was cut off when Chris shoved him off me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Chris why would you do that?"
"Are you okay?" He asked ignoring my question.
I shrugged him off me and went to check on reeko who was still on the floor.
"Are you okay? I'm really sorry about Chris he really isn't like that?"
"It's fine" he said getting up "any good boyfriend would have done the same?"
I blushed at the statement but Chris practically shouted "she's not my girlfriend" he sounded angry.
His words really stung.
Strange cause he was only saying the truth.
I tried to hide the pain but I'm sure reeko saw how hurt I looked when I said "yeah he's right"
He sling his arm around my shoulder and that just seemed to get Chris even more angry.
I don't get what his problem is.
He just flat out rejected me and now he's getting angry cause reeko is touching me.
I was pissed now I folded my arms and asked "what are you even doing here?"
He hissed "I told you I would come back today to watch our show"
Oh right I totally forgot about that since I was having such a good time with reeko.
"Well as you can see I'm busy today so I won't be watching the show with you"
A look of hurt crossed his face but he quickly masked it with his i-don't-care expression.
He sighed "just be careful with this guy"
Reeko looked like he was about to say something but I stopped him by shaking my head.
Chris stormed out and slammed the door and I slumped on the couch trying to figure him out.
"What's with that guy?" Reeko said as he sat next to me
"Believe me I have no Idea"
We finished our work and reeko went home about an hour later

Okay so  I've been reading my book and oh my God it's so cliche so I decided to add some twists so just keep reading to find out
