Chris' POV,

  Shit shit shit.

Shit.

"Fuck!" I yelled as I threw the lamp at the wall.

"Woah Chris what's wrong?" Reeko asked in a concerned tone as he came out of His room.

"It's jace, he left home angry and now he's probably stranded and drunk somewhere"

"Not this again where do you think he is?"

I grabbed my coat and picked up my keys "he's probably at that bar he likes I need to go get him"

"Then I'm coming with you" I didn't even bother arguing I just bolted out the door with him trailing behind me.

We drove for about forty five minutes before we reached my old neighborhood and parked by the road opposite the run down bar.

"Please dexter just stay in the car I'll be right back" he didn't protest he understood I had to do this alone.

I skipped across the road and went into the bar that smelled like piss.

There I spotted my older brother sitting alone in a far off corner of the bar. Their were bottles of booze scattered across the table and his head was hung low.

"Jace" he looked up and smiled.

"Woah it's my favorite little person in the world" he burped and laughed "how've you been little person?"

Even though my brother was just a few inches taller than me he would never let me forget it even in his drunken state.

"I'm good now let's get you back home mom is worried" I tried helping him up but he jerked his hand away.

"No!" He yelled catching the attentions the half of the bar that wasn't drunk "I'm not going back there I'm a grown man and she still treats me like a child"

"Well what do you expect you're twenty three and still live with your mother"

"Do not speak to me like that" he said looking at me with his bloodshot eyes.

I ran my hand through my hair "fine well what do you want me to do?"

He stood up abruptly almost ripping over due to his drunken state "take me back home with you" he poked my chest.

"But I'm just in the university I still share an apartment with dexter" I tried explaining but he just waved me off and started staggering towards the door.

"Don't worry I won't stay there long I'll just stay until I can find a place for myself and get a job" he turned around to face me and laughed before a burp escaped him again "it'll be fine"

I sighed and thought about it. If I take him back to his place he'll probably just come here and get drunk again and this time he might do something stupid maybe I should just take him home with me and help him figure himself out.

"Fine you can stay but only for a week"

"Yay" he practically squealed like a little girl on Christmas and staggered out the door towards my car.
