At fucking last.
After a handful of games and tons of warm-ups, lunch finally rolled in and I'm so fucking ready to eat the whole canteen.
Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration but you already know it so stop reprimanding my dramatic ass.
We were sitting at our usual table in the cafeteria, food waiting to be devoured in front of us when something suddenly bugged my mind and I just can't take it anymore.
"Hey, Phana."
"Hmm?"
"When you said that I must've impressed the shit out of Apple that she gave me his number willingly, do you... do you mean..." Ugh!!! Goddammit I'm chickening out.
Fuck, Arthit, when did you become such a pussy?
"Do I mean that it happens often?" My silence is answer enough to Phana so he just nods okay and said, "No. it doesn't. In fact, she never gave her brother's number to anyone she ever tested before so I'm guessing -- accurately, mind you, I'm sure of it -- that you're the only person who aced it."
I can't help smiling from ear to ear.
God, fucking yes!!!!! Take that motherfuckers!!!! Y'all might be smarter, more talented and prettier -- okay let's be honest here, that'll never happen -- than me but I'm the one his sister approves of, so long, suckers, that ass is mine."Damn, Arthit, I could practically hear the inflation of your ego all the way to China."
"You know what, Bright?"
He looked at me and blinked owlishly, "What?"
"Fuck you!"
"Ohhhhh, c'mon. Are we not allowed to be honest anymore? Is this dictatorship I'm witnessing before my eyes, freedom of speech being banned from existence and people being forced to keep their opinions to themselves?"
"Aren't you majoring in Veterinary Medicine?"
"Yeah so?"
"THEN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SPOUTING ABOUT RIGHTS AT ME FOR!? ARE YOU PLANNING TO BE AN ACTIVIST NOW!?"
Bright, the motherfucker that he is, have the audacity to fucking shrug. "Don't knock it 'til you try it, amirite?" He said, turning to Tutta while raising his hand for a high five.
"I'm not high-five-ing you, bitch. It's already bad enough that you're my friend, I cannot stoop any lower than that. Be mindful of the reputation I spent my college years building."
Bright just scowled and by the time I finished counting up to five, he snatched Tutta's phone, effectively reformatting it, to which Tutta countered by getting Bright's wallet from his back pocket and taking his credit card.
"You motherfucker." Bright yelled. As he tried to snatch his card back and fail.
Prem, the sleeping dragon as we call him, just snorted amusedly at the shit that's been happening in front of him.
"Children." The most sensible one in the group said, effectively coaxing a collective, "Krap, Por." out of all of us and immediately getting us to behave like the adults we were supposed to be.
I was busy lowering my head when movement across from where we were sitting caught my attention.
It was P'Sing, laughing at what his companion -- another boy with a face of a baby that if you push him, regardless of how weak you push him, he'd still cry and snitch you off to the teachers -- said. His sister, Apple, was behind them looking particular amused and now that I got a good look at what she looks like while amused, I'm almost tempted to facepalm myself for not seeing through her facade sooner.
Still, I'm glad. If there's one thing good my short temper has brought to me, it was P'Sing's number and his sister's approval and I couldn't be more grateful.
Wow. Did I really just thought of that? Am I that much of a goner for her brother?
Apple must've felt me staring -- damn they really are siblings what's with how fast they could catch on when someone's watching them -- because she looked up from her phone, walked slower so the guys in front of her could gain a few steps before waving at me and smiling sweetly.
Okay, that smile she's giving me right now, now that is a genuine one unlike the one she's sporting when I first met her.
Her smile didn't last long though 'coz it fell when she saw something on my right and when I turned I found that it was Phana she was looking at and the two of them had darkened their expressions at the same time it was almost in sync.
She shook her head and looked back at me then waved her phone on my direction before following the guys she's with.
I wonder who that baby-faced weakling is. Couldn't be his boyfriend, right? I mean, his sister's practically handing him over to me, right? She wouldn't do that if he's with someone else.
RIGHT!?
Before I could ponder further, I received a text and after reading it, I stood up and left.
"Arthit, the fuck!"
Ahhh, yes, my friends. Shit, I fucking forgot.
"Yeah?"
"Where're you going? We're supposed to meet up with the rest of our study group, right?"
"Uhhh, yeah, sorry. Tell P'Deer I'll come next time. Really have to go. Bye guys, see ya!"
"Ya, Arthit! Arthit! You sonuvabitch!"
