Aren't they taking way too long?

"They're probably talking about something serious."

I snapped my head up at Wayo, still playing that godforsaken racing game on his iPad.

You know those people where when they play a first-person racing game they move their body along while they tilt their devices? Yeah, he's like them -- kinda cute, really.

Not as cute as P'Sing, though.

Yeah, well, I don't think anyone will be as cute as P'Sing in your eyes.

Okay, that definitely sounded like Tutta from last night, fuck.

I continued tapping my fingers on my knee, crossing and uncrossing them.

"Don't go there. You'd only make it awkward."

"The fuck, are you reading my fucking mind right now?" I snapped. I didn't really mean to but I'm getting antsier and antsier by the minute and I can't help my short temper from shortening further.

"Oh, how I wish I could." He snorted as he settled his iPad on the floor, glancing at it, he beat his personal record -- again. "I've been where you are right now and based from experience, it's better not to eavesdrop or seek them out when they're talking privately 'coz one, that's the right thing to do," He looked at me meaningfully and I felt myself clamming up in shame. "And two, they would know, anyway, if someone is listening in on them. Trust me, it'll get ugly after that. I remember when that happened to me 'coz back in highschool, I'm so damn curious if they really are together or not and--"

Wait, what!?

"Okay, stop right there, what do you mean, if they're really together or not? They're siblings, right?"

"Yeah, in every sense of the word."

There it goes the cryptic shit again. "The fuck do you mean by that?"

"I mean that, whether by personal or dictionary's definition, they are siblings." He explained and when he sees that I'm still confused, he continued. "They aren't blood related or even legally siblings. All I know is that when P'Sing's mother died, Princess's parents took him in and cared for him."

Well, shit.

"Wait, people think they're together despite knowing that?"

"Hmm?" Wayo's brows furrowed. "Nobody knew about that story, even I just learned about it because I became close to Princess and P'Sing. Hell, even our faculty still thinks they're secretly dating."

"So, this is not a popular fact?"

"Uhhh.. no?" Wayo answered, looking at me like he can't even fathom how other people would know about this. "P'Sing and Princess doesn't really like explaining shit to people, even to me, and telling them their past so, no." He laughed then before continuing, "Hell, I'm this close to them and I practically know nothing."

Uhh, everybody knows that she's his sister?

What. A fucking. Liar.

"But they've never been like, you know.." I asked, gesturing with my hand what I can't express with words and hoping that my point would come across.

"Oh, no! No, no, no. They're really just fucking close but they're really just think of each other as siblings."

I nodded thoughtfully at that. Why the fuck do Phana keep spouting lies whenever the topic involves these two?

"Wait." Wayo looked at me with an alarmed expression on his face. "Don't tell me..." He leaned in closer and I can't but lean away from him, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Are you jealous?"

If I didn't know that Wayo is as strong as they could get and that he's a friend to P'Sing and Apple, I would've bashed his head at the edge of this table right next to my foot.

He barked out a laugh, clutching his sides as he does, "Fuck, your face..." He heaved. "You should've seen your face."

I satisfied myself with bashing him with a pillow instead. Yeah, that'll do.

For now.
