"You do know him, don't you?"

I asked without even lifting my gaze off of P'Sing's back. I didn't received a reply and quite frankly, I know I'm not gonna get any.

When P'Sing turned towards the stairs and finally disappeared, I glared at Phana and made sure to raise my voice when I said, "Stop fucking lying to me, Phana. I'm seriously getting sick of it."

He flinched at that before looking at me with apologetic eyes, "I can't." He murmured in a very small voice that if I wasn't standing next to him, I wouldn't hear him at all.

"Can't or won't?" I spat. "'Coz there's a fucking difference there, Phana, in case you didn't know."

He only shook his head as he looked down and god, for a six-foot-something guy he sure as hell knows how to make himself small.

"I can't." He whispered.

"You his ex or something?"

He whipped his head up to look at me and yelled, "No!" looking every bit offended that I even dared thought of that.

I glared at him before jabbing my finger near his face, "You better not be lying to me, you motherfucker, 'coz I swear to fucking God, Phana, I will break you if I find out that you hurt him in any way."

Phana stood there, dumbfounded, as he stared at me with wide frightened eyes for a long moment and I knew right then and there that I hit the right spot.

He may not be an ex, but he definitely hurt him, alright.

He tore his gaze away from me, looking like he's contemplating whether to run and hide forever or just for the time being.

"I--I.." He said, and for the past 2 years that I've known Phana Itthipat, this is the most afraid I've ever saw him.

He must've fucked up P'Sing so bad if he's acting like a criminal about to get caught red-handed.

He honest-to-goodness jumped when the bell rang before he hastily made his exit, muttering something along the lines of "Sorry, I've got to go. See you at lunch."

Ugh! I really hate it when people hide something from me.

I get it if P'Sing doesn't wanna tell me but Phana!?

I'm so fucking offended. I thought I'm his best friend.

"Aren't you coming in, Mr. Perawat?"

"Yes, of course, Mrs. Davika, after you."

With one last glance to where Phana disappeared, I head inside the classroom.
