ever since you persistently trailed chuuya to compliment him, the two of you became best of friends. of course it's also because you were too tenacious. and by that i meant you didn't really give up until he accepted you.

despite your pestering, chuuya seemed to detect the underlying concern and honesty in your actions. chuuya found you annoying at first for sure but then as time went by, chuuya asked himself, why not?

and it was one of the best decisions he has ever made.

the two of you spent so much time together and every single bit of it were memorable.

in fact, a lot of people mistook your friendship into another way, but you always rejected their thoughts, clarifying that you two were merely best friends.

you didn't tell any lies every time you clarify things since it was the hard truth but chuuya couldn't help but get troubled whenever he hears it.

he denies the thought that maybe he's falling for you and thinks of it platonically instead.

and boy, the more he instilled that mindset in his brain, the more he became too conscious about every move you make.

that the more chuuya denied his growing feelings for you, the more it became evident that, ah, he's really falling for his best friend.

as days, weeks, months— years passed by, the once friendly and jolly you had grown so much, features appearing mature to the eyes of the rest, appealing more to people. you are finally a senior and a graduating student.

chuuya can't help but be stunned every time he sees you. for you were like a flower that never stopped blooming: even in the season of autumn, where you're supposed to fall from the branch you hold onto; even in the season of winter, where you're prevented to blossom.

every time, you made him feel like it was spring. a new beginning, blooming into a better person after the tragedies of the three other seasons.

you kept blooming beautifully and chuuya felt blessed seeing such a breathtaking sight like you.

constantly, he'd chuckle about how maybe you made a mistake by referring to him as a heavenly masterpiece since he believes it is clearly you who is much deserving of the compliment.

due to your sudden popularity as time went by, you weren't foreign to confessions and so was chuuya. thus, the two of you were considered the heartthrob buddies in the campus.

but the two of you are clearly clowns so maybe it could be changed to clown heartthrobs.

the two of you would talk about people who have confessed to both of you, sometimes making fun of how they confessed, just for some laughs.

but in the end, you two would feel bad joking around and would whisper your apologies in the air.

you also mentioned to chuuya that you aren't really interested in dating.

you started to swallow your words, though, when you met dazai.
