Colleen's POV:
Josh and I left Starbucks and drove to my parent house to spend the day with them. As we were driving, I saw the same girl that was in Starbucks by herself walking along the side of the road in the torrential thunderstorm. I beeped and stopped beside her but once I did, I suddenly regretted it because she started to run. To be honest, she was fast, really fast. I drove up to her and Josh and I jumped out of the car and ran towards her.

Abigail's POV:
I kept running but the 2 people inside the car jumped out and ran towards me. Before they could get to me and probably murder me the same way my parents did I curled up in to a ball on the ground.
"PLEASE DONT HURT ME, WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU?!", I screamed.
"Don't worry we're not going to hurt you, we are here to help you", said a sweet soothing voice. The voice sounded familiar though.
I looked up and I was right, it was the lady with the camera I saw in Starbucks and kneeling on the ground next to her was the man with her in Starbucks. I started to cry and she engulfed me in a hug.
"It's okay sweetie, don't cry", said the man sitting next to her.
"What's you're name?", asked the woman.
I sniffed, "My name is Abigail, but you can call me Abs or Abi", I responded.
"Hi Abi, I'm Colleen and this is Josh", said the woman, or Colleen.
I smiled and we all stood up.
"I best be going", I said.
"Abs, you need to tell me the truth", said Josh, "Did you run away from home?".
I didn't answer.
"Abi, we're here to help you", said Colleen, "So, could you please tell us, did you run away from home?"
I nodded.
"Come with us", said Colleen.
"No it's okay I'll find somewhere to stay, I'll just be a waste of space anyway. Oh um, my mom also told me not to go with strangers", I fought.
"If your mom was so nice to you and gave you helpful advice, why did you run away from home?" Josh replied.
A tear fell down my face. I told them about how my parent were killed and how I have abusive adopted parents and that's why I ran away.
They decided to take me and they said I didn't have a choice. They took me back to Colleen's parents house.
